Aaron Civale Strikes Out Five In First Win As Brewer
4 months agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Aaron Civale notched his first win since being traded to the Brewers in Friday's 8-3 victory over the Reds. It was a quality start as well after the 29-year-old lasted six-and-two-thirds innings, yielding two earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five. After a solid season last year for the Guardians, the 2024 campaign has been rough on the righty, both in Tampa and in Milwaukee. The former third-round draft pick owns a 5.02 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, 14.3% K-BB%, and has allowed 24 home runs (1.75 HR/9) over 23 starts. While his next start will be at home, it won't be easy as he draws the Dodgers next Thursday.
