The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Sonoma Raceway on Saturday afternoon in preparation for the upcoming Toyota/Save Mart 350 on Sunday afternoon.
The 36-car field was split into two groups for practice.
Below you will find key notes from the practice session as well as the practice speeds for all drivers.
Important Practice Notes
Christopher Bell - After getting out of the car mid-race last weekend at Naval Base Coronado, Christopher Bell noted that he plans to race the full Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma this weekend.
AJ Allmendinger - The No. 16 Chevrolet spun out near the end of practice. Allmendinger didn't hit anything, he just looked like he lost control of the car and spun it out. He was complaining about grip to his team on the radio.
Erik Jones - Jones slid off of turn 10 and hit the tire barrier during practice. The No. 43 team will likely have to make extensive repairs to the car before the race.
Here’s a look at the damage to Erik Jones’ car after he slid off Turn 10 and hit the tire barrier.

Noah Gragson - After practice it was noted that a brake issue was found with Noah Gragson's No. 4 Ford. The team apparently fixed it because he went out for qualifying after the practice session.
