MLB Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks - FanDuel Baseball Advice for 4/26/16

Chrisjnelson at the English language Wikipedia [CC-BY-3.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Kevin Luchansky highlights the top MLB DFS lineup picks for 4/26/16, as well as sleepers for your daily fantasy baseball roster on FanDuel.

We've got a really appealing slate scheduled for this evening, with the rare occurrence that all 15 games are at night. In other words, every major league player is at your disposal today. And there are a ton of aces pitching, too. Let's win some cash.

The Vegas odds-makers have listed the following games as the ones they estimate to being the highest scoring: Pirates at Rockies (10.5), Athletics at Tigers (9), and Yankees at Rangers (9). Pretty slim pickings in this department, but that's to be expected with all the studs pitching tonight.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/26/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Oakland Athletics versus Mike Pelfrey

I have to mention them in good conscience, but believe me when I say the Coors stacks aren't going to be incredibly high owned this evening. In an effort to differentiate with a unique lineup, I'm going to stack the Athletics early and middle order guys, as I'm a big fan of their matchup (save for the park factors). The Athletics have one of the highest projected run total of the day at 4.6, and they have a ton of hot bats with solid splits against right-handed pitching. Left-handed bats have been murdering Pelfrey this season, and sure it's a small sample size, but I can't ignore the .536 wOBA and .692 slugging percentage he's allowed. My favorite Athletics for this stack are Chris Coghlan, Josh Reddick, Stephen Vogt and Mark Canha.

Also Consider: Pittsburgh Pirates versus Jorge De La Rosa

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

David Price (SP, BOS) - $9,400

Despite a brutal outing the last time he took the bump, Price gets the nod as my overall number one today for cash games - and I think he's tournament viable as well. Price has already shown us he can put up 50+ point fantasy performances, and his matchup today sets him up well for success. Price faces a paltry Braves offense in a park (Turner Field) that's more desirable for pitchers than his home park in Boston. Thanks to his bad start against Tampa, Price's price has dropped $2,900, making him an incredible bargain tonight.

Nate Karns (SP, SEA) - $7,600

Karns gets the nod for me as my top tournament play tonight in a crowded field of a lot of worthy pitchers. As is the case with a lot of high strikeout upside pitchers, Karns carries a bit of a risk, especially against a powerful lineup like the Astros. Karns enters this contest with a 9.54 K/9 this season. On the brighter side, his price has dropped $500 thus far in 2016, he pitches in an incredible park for pitchers, and most importantly - the Astros strike out in nearly 28% of their at-bats against right-handed pitching.

Also Consider: Johnny Cueto (SP, SFG) - $9,300 (cash) and Rich Hill (SP, OAK) - $7,7000 (tournaments)

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Catcher (C)

Brian McCann (C, NYY) - $3,400

Outside of those playing in Coors tonight, left-handed hitters at Arlington have the highest positive park factors going for them tonight. Enter Brian McCann, who has a nice matchup with a right-handed pitcher in AJ Griffin that is prone to giving up a deep ball or two. This season, McCann is slugging .456 with a .219 ISO against righthanders.

First Base (1B)

John Jaso (1B, PIT) - $3,300

If you want to get exposure to Coors field tonight without breaking the bank, I have a few suggestions for you, starting with John Jaso. Considering his strong matchup and the Coors effect, he's priced very moderately this evening. The power hasn't been there yet this season, but in the thin air of Colorado is the best time to get going, and he owns a very impressive .416 wOBA against southpaws in 2016.

Second Base (2B)

Jason Kipnis (2B, CLE) - $3,300

I have a feeling Kipnis could go over looked today due to the fact he isn't playing in the most appealing park for hitters. That said, he is bargain at this price and has a fantastic matchup in facing a below average right-handed pitcher in Ricky Nolasco. In 2016, Kipnis has been handling right-handers with ease, posting a .402 wOBA and .516 slugging percentage.

Shortstop (SS)

Aledmys Diaz (SS, ATL) - $3,200

Diaz doesn't hit high enough in the batting order yet for cash game consideration, but he certainly plays nicely as a tournament option. He has been crushing right-handed pitchers this season to the tune of a .558 wOBA and .438 ISO. He takes on Shelby Miller in one of the better hitters' parks of the day.

Third Base (3B)

David Freese (3B, PIT) - $3,400

Like in the case with Jaso, I want to get some exposure to Coors tonight, but without paying an arm and a leg. Freese is a real nice value here, as he hits in the middle of the order, faces a weak pitcher and could go overlooked with so many strong options at third base tonight. His splits when facing left-handed pitching aren't great, so look elsewhere (like Chris Coghlan, for instance) if you need a cash game play.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

With all the expensive options at pitcher tonight, I'll focus on finding as much value in this section as possible.

Carlos Beltran (OF, NYY) - $3,000

Beltran is in a similar spot as the rest of this outfield crew I'm rolling with - a lot of value at the price he's listed at and a strong matchup lies ahead. Not only does Beltran face a pitcher prone to giving up home run balls, he also is the proud owner of a .373 wOBA and .219 ISO against right-handed pitching this season.

Matt Holiday (OF, STL) - $2,900

Holliday hasn't had many stellar performances this year, but he's in an opportune spot to break out of the mild funk he's in. Holliday takes on Shelby Miller in a park more suitable for hitters than his own, while sporting a .357 wOBA against right-handed pitching this season.

Mark Canha (OF, OAK) - $2,600

I think Canha represents the greatest value and one of the highest upsides of the entire slate, priced at just $2,600. He hits high in the order and has been swinging a hot bat, too, marked by his .360 wOBA and .230 ISO against right-handed pitching this season.
