BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED: 15% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The first reactions to Sunday's Parris Campbell injury were all pointing toward a torn ACL. Good for him and the Colts, it looks like those early impressions were mostly wrong and he avoided such a season-ending fate. Even with that, and seeing how everyone around the league is falling down to injury, the most probable thing to happen in Week 3 is Indy playing it safe with Campbell and letting him sit and recover properly.
What does this have to do with Pittman Jr., you say? For one, Pittman Jr. has become the de facto WR2 of this offense only behind T.Y. Hilton. He only got two targets in Week 1 (caught both for 10 yards) but he raised that number to six targets in Week 2 hauling in four receptions for 37 yards and a 9.2 Y/R average. Those numbers are not mind-blowing, but they can only go up with Campbell out of the equation.
It is virtually impossible to find WR2 available for free in most waiver wires, but that is what Pittman is these days if Parris Campbell misses time. Consider Pittman Jr. a FLEX starter with upside mostly on PPR leagues, if only because QB Philip Rivers is a check-lover who tends to post high completion rates on a relatively high volume of passes weekly.
