EXPERT ANALYSIS: It's no secret by now that Martin Prado can flat-out hit. Prado owns a .324 AVG and .370 OBP this season for Miami and has driven in a respectable 50 RBI so far this year. Prado doesn't offer much in the way of power (only 6 HR on the year) or speed (1 SB), but what he lacks in those departments he makes up for in consistency. Prado is a career .294 hitter who has been pretty durable throughout most of his time in the bigs. Prado plays a scarce position at 2B, but also has the bonus of 3B eligibility, making him a solid starting option on teams who have power at other positions, or a nice depth option in just about every league. Right now is as good a time to pounce as any -- Prado has slashed .352/.426/.611 over the last fifteen games. If he's still available in your league, you should probably snatch him up before someone else does.
