ANALYSIS: Jose Siri is having a breakout season with the long ball. Through 47 games, he's already accrued a career-high 13 home runs. That's more than his 2021 and 2022 campaigns combined. Overall, Siri sports a respectable .234/.289/.532 slash line alongside a .305 ISO and 131 wRC+.
The 27-year-old may be hitting an ordinary .245, but he’s slugging an extraordinary .580 across 106 at-bats with 10 homers and 22 RBI this year. Siri also has five stolen bases, good enough to fortify third-round roto value in 12-team mixed fantasy leagues through the campaign’s one-third mark.
A closer look at Siri's underlying numbers confirms the obvious. He's selling out for the long ball. Siri carries an underwhelming .235 xBA, including a 34.1% strikeout rate and a horrible 42.5% whiff rate. Still, his strong .342 xwOBA suggests an overall effective approach at the dish. When he does manage to make contact, the results are phenomenal. Siri owns a .517 xSLG and 17.2% barrel rate. He's available in most leagues, yet a 30-home run season is not out of reach.
