Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen didn't play in Week 2 against the Texans because of a heel injury.

Allen is still dealing with that groin issue. Will it prevent him from playing in Week 3?

Read on for the latest injury updates on Allen, if he'll play this week, and how this affects other Chicago WRs like Rome Odunze.

Keenan Allen Injury Update for Fantasy Football

After sitting out practice last week, Allen was held out of the team's Week 2 loss to the Texans. The fact he's being held out of practices this week suggests that he won't play this week, right?

Yeah, probably.

It sounds like the Bears are set to play it as safe as they can with Allen. The way head coach Matt Eberflus is talking about the injuries makes it sound like a matter of weeks, not days.

Fantasy managers should proceed as if they won't have Keenan Allen on the football field on Sunday.

Keenan Allen Fantasy Football Outlook

If we assume Allen is out, the Bears passing attack remains simplified, with D.J. Moore as the No. 1 receiver and Rome Odunze as the No. 2. Odunze has been limited with a knee injury but played through it last week.

The Bears play against a Colts defense that has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season.

Of course, quarterback Caleb Williams has struggled to stay upright this season, which has led to large-scale struggles for this Bears offense. No matter how good the matchup is, a player can't succeed if the quarterback isn't getting the ball off and keeping drives alive.

Moore is a top receiver in the league, but Williams just isn't playing well enough for us to fully trust him as a WR1 yet. Consider Moore to be a strong WR2 play, while Odunze is a WR4 option in Week 3.
