ANALYSIS: Henry Davis is one of the hottest waiver wire adds right now. The 2021 first-overall draft pick ascended the minor leagues quickly and was called up for his first shot at the big leagues earlier this week. Through his first six games, Davis owns a .250/.375/.500 and .267 ISO. He has an everyday playing role at the moment, though the looming return of Bryan Reynolds may eventually hurt Davis' playing time.

Davis is the third-ranked prospect in the Pirates' system, featuring 60-grade power and a 55-grade hit tool. That translated into a .974 OPS with 11 home runs across 51 games between Double-A and Triple-A this season. His power upside is encouraging though he may have to figure out major-league pitching quickly in order to maintain a consistent role in the short term.
