Gardner Minshew's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 15 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Gardner Minshew for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Consider in 2QB/Superflex leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: QB2
ANALYSIS: For someone considered a gunslinger at the quarterback position, Gardner Minshew isn't doing a whole lot of slinging. The Colts' short-term starter has only topped 300 yards and two touchdowns once since Week 8. That's good for the QB21 over that stretch.
Turnovers are an ongoing issue for Minshew. This season, he has eight interceptions and five lost fumbles. That's compared to 11 passing touchdowns and three more on the ground. The 14:13 ratio won't help fantasy managers win championships.
Minshew also gets an unfortunate matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers this week. With both of their star pass rushers (T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith) healthy, the pressure will be put on Minshew and mistakes are bound to be made. The Pittsburgh defense also ranks seventh-best across the NFL for fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.
Minshew can be started in 2QB or Superflex formats as a mid-range second option. Any other league, however, and the Colts' starting quarterback should be left on the bench or waiver wire.
