FanDuel Picks for Daily Fantasy Football Week 6: DFS Lineup Advice and Sleepers

As the NFL season progresses, injuries continue to occur. While it's heartbreaking to watch an elite talent like Jamaal Charles tear his ACL, it opens up opportunities for other running backs. These are the situations we, as DFS players, need to take advantage of.

In this article, my FanDuel DFS lineup targets, I will be headlining a few of my top plays on FanDuel for Week 6 of the daily fantasy football season.

These DFS lineup picks can range from the elite tier of players, to a few guys that I feel are a bit overpriced on FanDuel. Let's get to it!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

FanDuel DFS Quarterbacks for Week 6

Tom Brady - QB, NE (at IND, $9,000)

Brady was a staple in my lineups last week, and he will be again this week. He’s one of the safest players in the NFL, as he has recorded between 22 and 29 fantasy points in each of his first four games. He gets a great matchup against the Colts, who have one of the worst secondaries in the NFL, aside from Vontae Davis. The Patriots will likely game plan away from Davis, and Brady will carves up the Colts weaknesses. Oh, and did I mention he's playing the team that spurred the Deflategate controversy? This game also has the highest over/under of the week at 55 points. The Patriots are -6.5 favorites, and Brady makes a great play in all leagues again this week.

Josh McCown - QB, CLE (vs DEN, $7,000)

McCown has been unbelievable in his starts this season, recording 1,203 yards and six passing touchdowns in only three games. He also has 35 yards and one score on the ground. He’s averaging 47 pass attempts per game, and that should be no different this week, as the Browns will likely be playing from behind against the Broncos. While this is a tough matchup, Derek Carr showed quarterbacks can have at least some success against Denver last week. McCown is one of the cheapest starting quarterbacks on the slate, but he has scored between 20 and 36 fantasy points in each of his three full starts. The volume of his pass attempts make him a safe play, but they also give him great upside, as well. He’s a good option in all leagues, even with this tough matchup.

FanDuel DFS Running Backs for Week 6

Adrian Peterson - RB, MIN (vs KC, $8,900)

I love taking Adrian Peterson when the Vikings are projected to win, which is the case this week. In Minnesota’s two wins this season, Peterson has touched the ball 51 times for 318 yards and two touchdowns, while he only has 29 touches for 133 yards and one touchdown in their losses. The main factor is that they give him touches to run out the clock. They are -3.5 favorites this week and get a matchup against the Chiefs, who just lost their best offensive player for the season. Peterson has been a consistent running back over his last three games, and he’ll likely continue that trend this week.

Charcandrick West - RB, KC (at MIN, $6,200)

As I mentioned before, the Chiefs lost their best offensive weapon for the year in Jamaal Charles. That leaves a huge void at running back, and Charcandrick West will likely get the first opportunity to fill it. Andy Reid has stated that both West and Knile Davis will receive carries, but West out-touched Davis seven to two last week, and that trend should continue. West is also the preferred passing down back for the Chiefs, which gives him more upside than Davis. The Chiefs may also be throwing the ball a bit more this week, as they are small underdogs, and West will likely be taking most of those snaps. I’m not sold that West is a great running back, but the opportunity is there, and his price tag is cheap. At worst, he's a high upside GPP option.

FanDuel DFS Wide Receivers for Week 6

DeAndre Hopkins - WR, HOU (at JAC, $8,500)

Hopkins has been playing out of this world over his last three games, recording 28 receptions for 427 yards and one touchdown. He has excelled in every game this season except Week Two, in which he face Josh Norman, one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. He has received 75 targets this season, which accounts for 31% of the Texans passes. He is their number one option, and will see more than enough opportunities to hit value this week. He gets a decent matchup against the Jags, who haven’t allowed a ton of fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. This has a lot to do with their run defense, as teams work the running game instead of throwing the ball. Hopkins is one of the safest options at wide receiver, but he also has some of the best upside.

Jamison Crowder - WR, WAS (at NYJ, $5,500)

Crowder will get a tough matchup against the Jets this week, but he should still receive plenty of opportunities to hit value. He’s currently third on the Redskins team in targets, behind only Pierre Garcon and Jordan Reed. His targets are also on the rise, as he received eight against the Falcons, which was tied for the most last week with Garcon. Over the last three weeks, Crowder has caught 21 passes for 197 yards, but no touchdowns. He has also performed better in each game as the weeks progress. He has yet to hit his true upside because of his lack of touchdowns. This week, Garcon will likely find his way onto Revis Island, which means Crowder should be peppered with targets, making him a great GPP option.

FanDuel DFS Tight Ends for Week 6

Antonio Gates - TE, SD (at GB, $5,500)

The Gronk was a disappointment last week, which is why he’s not receiving a write up this week. Keep in mind, he’s one of the safest options at tight end, and he still makes a great play. With that being said, Gates also makes a great play, as he dominated in his first game back from suspension. In that game, he caught nine of his 11 targets for 92 yards and two touchdowns. He was a clear redzone option for Rivers, which has been the case throughout his career. Gates will likely see a decrease in targets if Stevie Johnson returns this week, but he’s still cheap enough to be used confidently in all leagues.

Richard Rodgers - TE, GB (vs SD, $5,100)

Rodgers usage seems to be fairly dependent on whether Davante Adams plays or not. Over the last two weeks, Rodgers has 11 receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown. Last week, he saw a team high 8 targets, and he’ll likely be a big part of the offense again as he gets a plus matchup against the Chargers. Aaron Rodgers recently called out the Packers offense for their poor play, which makes Richard Rodgers a potential breakout candidate this week.
