FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Pablo Lopez, MIA vs CIN ($8,200)

It's risky to use Lopez in his first start off of the injured list, as he hasn't pitched in a real game since June. However, with such thin  starting pitcher options on tonight's short slate, he's your best option if you don't want to break the bank for Sonny Gray. Lopez posted a strong 3.56 FIP in 14 starts and recorded five quality starts in his last six starts. He is in an extremely pitcher-friendly park against a Reds lineup that is below-average against righties with their .314 wOBA.

Dustin May, LAD at SDP ($6,200)

May has been impressive as a starter through his first 17 innings, with a 2.65 ERA and 15 strikeouts to just two walks. He's got lots of strikeout upside against a Padres lineup that has a 26.5% K-rate versus right-handed pitching, the second-highest mark in baseball. May is in a pitcher's park and is worth a cheap flier if you want to spend lots of payroll on your bats.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Yasmani Grandal – 1B, MIL vs STL ($3,100)

It's not often that a catcher is worth playing at the C/1B slot, but Grandal is a rare exception. He's got an .843 OPS against righties this season and is in a fantastic spot for counting stats batting second for the Brewers. Grandal is at home in a hitter-friendly park facing Adam Wainwright, who has a 4.51 ERA.

Whit Merrifield – 2B, KAN vs OAK ($3,000)

Merrifield has been cold lately, but he's an attractive buy low at this price - it's not often you see a leadoff hitter for so cheap. The Royals should be able to do some damage against Homer Bailey, as he has a 5.06 ERA, so Merrifield can easily score some runs. Merrifield is a safe play in cash games, as he's reached base in seven straight games.

Trevor Story – SS, COL vs ATL ($4,200)

For those playing on the early slate, you want to target as many Coors Fields bats as you can. Story is batting .326 with 19 homers at home and is a virtual lock to produce in the league's top offensive environment.

Matt Chapman – 3B, OAK at KAN ($3,600)

Chapman has a 1.059 OPS over the last two weeks and is in a position to rack up runs and RBI batting third for the A's. Opposing starter Brad Keller has outperformed his 5.17 SIERA and has just a 17.3% K-rate, making him a starter to target tonight.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Starling Marte, PIT at PHI ($3,600)

Marte has put up incredible fantasy numbers over the last month, batting .306 with 11 steals and five homers. He's quietly put together a huge year, already surpassing 20/20 in consecutive seasons. Marte is in a hitter's park against Jason Vargas, owner of a poor 4.83 FIP.

Jarrod Dyson, ARI at SFG ($2,800)

Another cheap leadoff hitter to target is Jarrod Dyson. While he's not a great hitter, he can still accumulate points atop the lineup by getting extra at bats and scoring runs. Of course, Dyson also has 27 steals. The DBacks can crush Tyler Beede, who has a 5.82 ERA, meaning that Dyson should be involved in the action at a low price.
