FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (4/29/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Harold Capps highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 4/29/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

What's up guys and welcome to the Sunday edition of the FanDuel MLB Breakdown! We have a huge 12 game slate on our hands today. I won't be naming the obvious plays, everyone knows to play Mike Trout or Manny Machado. Let's do some deep diving and identify guys not many people may know about. We've got a lot to talk about so let's jump right in.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/29/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me up on Twitter @Rotogoodness.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

J.A. Happ - P, TOR vs HOU (FD - $8,800)

Happ is in a very elite spot today and has several factors working in his favor. He's a huge home favorite with current money line odds of -219 to win. The Rangers have one of the lowest implied team totals on the slate at 3.7 runs. It's going to be cold and the wind is projected to be blowing in at around 15 mph. He has a K prediction of seven and Texas has only hit three HRs in 209 plate appearances so far in 2018 against left-handed pitching.

Robbie Ray - P, ARI vs WSH (FD - $9,300)

Ray is an excellent pivot in tournaments for those who want to get away from Gerrit Cole. He is in a pristine spot against the Nationals and should have very low ownership. The Nationals are the second worst team in the league against left-handed pitching so far in 2018. They are 10th in the league with 70 strikeouts in 283 plate appearances against lefties with a batting average of .209. He has a K prediction of 6.2 and is an elite option on today's slate.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Logan Morrison - C/1B, MIN vs CIN (FD - $2,100)

Morrison has been absolutely mashing the ball recently. He has solid statcast data with an average batted ball distance of 236ft and a hard hit percentage of 43%. He will have low ownership since he hits towards the bottom of the order. The Twins have one of the highest implied team totals on the slate with 5.2 runs. Logan is one of the best values on the entire slate with elite upside with minimal ownership.

Yoan Moncada - 2B, CHW vs KC (FD - $4,100)

To say Moncada has been destroying the ball this year is a huge understatement. He has insane statcast data with an average batted ball distance of 242ft, a hard hit percentage of 64.7% and an exit velocity of 96.6 mph. He's projected to lead off and crushes righties with a wOBA of .341. The wind will be blowing out at 15 mph and he's facing Ian Kennedy. Moncada is an amazing play today in all formats.

Miguel Andujar - 3B, NYY @ LA (FD - $3,500)

Andujar has been heating up recently with five out of his last eight games with over 15 FanDuel points. He has excellent statcast data with an average batted ball distance of 238 ft and a hard hit percentage of 50%. He will have extremely low ownership because he hits towards the bottom of the order and it's a 12 game slate. Andujar benefits from playing in one of the most potent offenses in the league so he should have plenty of RBI opportunities. The Yankees have a decent implied team total of 4.2 runs and the wind will be blowing out to right center at 13 mph.

Nick Ahmed - SS, ARI vs WSH (FD - $3,100)

Whenever Ahmed is facing a lefty he is pretty much an auto play at this point. He has truly elite splits with a .455 wOBA and .311 ISO versus left-handed pitching. He has an average batted ball distance of 230 ft and a fly ball rate of 43%. I know not many players will be highly owned since it's such a massive slate but no one will be on Ahmed today. He has tournament winning upside at 2% or less ownership.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Teoscar Hernandez - OF, TEX vs TOR (FD - $3,600)

Hernandez has been dismantling the baseball since the start of the season. His statcast data is unreal with an average batted ball distance of 246ft, a hard hit percentage of 62.2% and an exit velocity of 95.9 mph. Toronto has the highest implied team total on the slate so he will be popular but the upside is worth it.

Leonys Martin - OF, DET v@ BAL (FD - $3,600)

Martin is just straight crushing the ball atop the Detroit lineup so far this season. He is in peak form at the moment with solid statcast data. Leonys has an average batted ball distance of 230 ft and an average exit velocity of 90.9 mph. The reason I reference statcast data so often is because it's a proven better predictor of a player's future performance than the traditional advanced stats of wOBA and ISO.

Mitch Haniger - OF, SEA @ CLE (FD - $3,900)

Haniger is in a great spot and also has solid statcast data. He has elite numbers in every statcast metric and is projected to bat sixth with minimal ownership. He demolishes right-handed pitching with five HRs in his last eight games. He's on fire right now and this trend should continue against Josh Tomlin.

Good luck today!
