Welcome to RotoBaller's daily fantasy football FanDuel lineup picks for Week 8 of the NFL season. In this article, I, Justin Bales, will be taking you, the reader, through the best FanDuel DFS plays of the week for this upcoming Sunday.

These FanDuel lineup recommendations are based on matchups, recent performances, overall upside/talent levels, and other factors such as Vegas odds, home field advantage, and more. Good luck with your FanDuel DFS lineups!

FanDuel Quarterback - Week 8 DFS Picks

Matt Ryan (vs GB, $8,500)

Matt Ryan should come as no surprise this week. He has been an elite quarterback this season and he gets a great matchup against the Packers, who have struggled to stop the pass at times. The Falcons are -3 point favorites in a game set at 52 points, which is the highest total of the slate. While Atlanta is the favorite, Green Bay should be able to keep this game close enough that both teams will be passing until the end. Ryan has as much upside as any quarterback on the slate, and he can safely be used in all leagues.

Jameis Winston (vs OAK, $7,400)

Jameis Winston has been posting surprising fantasy numbers considering he has only thrown for more than 300 yards once this season. This week, he gets a great matchup against the Raiders, who rank dead last in the NFL in defense. The Bucs have multiple ways to score, but Winston has a knack for finding the end zone. The Raiders have an offense that should keep this game competitive. Tampa Bay is a -1 point favorite in a game set at 49.5 points, and Winston is a great option for his low price tag.

FanDuel Running Backs - Week 8 DFS Picks

Ty Montgomery (at ATL, $6,400)

Montgomery has officially been moved to running back on FanDuel, which is great for his value. Since moving to running back, he has totaled 230 yards in two games, but most importantly, he has 20 receptions. Montgomery is being targeted heavily out of the backfield, and the majority of those targets are high percentage catches. He also looked much more comfortable running the ball last week, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him receive more than 10 carries this week. The game should also feature plenty of scoring, and Montgomery is a player that can be used in all leagues.

Devontae Booker (vs SD, $5,600)

Booker was a sleeper play this week until it was announced that C.J. Anderson would miss time with an injury. Now Booker will be a staple of cash game lineups. He played more snaps than Anderson last week, and turned those into 87 total yards and a touchdown. He gets a good matchup against the Chargers this week, and he will likely receive over 20 carries for the first time in his career. The Broncos should be looking to run the clock out in the second half of this game, and Booker can safely be used in all leagues this week.

FanDuel Wide Receivers - Week 8 DFS Picks

Julio Jones (vs GB, $9,200)

Julio Jones is leading the NFL in receiving yards, and it is no secret that Green Bay has struggled to guard team’s top wide receivers this season. This game projects as the highest scoring game on the slate, and Julio Jones is a must pair if you’re using Matt Ryan at quarterback. He has only seen 10+ targets in two games this season, but he has 21 receptions for 474 yards and one touchdown in those games. He’ll be playing against backup caliber cornerbacks for Green Bay, and he should have no problem dominating for the entire game.

Michael Thomas (vs SEA, $5,700)

Michael Thomas has been one of the most consistent wide receivers in the NFL for his price this season. His role in the Saints offense continues to grow, as he posted 10 receptions for 130 yards last week. He gets a tough matchup against the Seahawks this week, but he won’t be receiving the Richard Sherman treatment. Also, the Saints are a team that can score on anyone when they are playing at home. Thomas’ price tag is still low because of the matchup, and he can be used in all leagues this week.

FanDuel Tight End - Week 8 DFS Picks

C.J. Feidorowicz (vs DET, $4,900)

Feidorowicz isn’t an elite tight end in the NFL, but he doesn’t have to be for his price tag this week. Over his last four games, he is averaging 4.8 receptions, 57.3 yards, and 0.5 touchdowns on 6.8 targets per game. Three of those four games were against top-10 defenses. This week, he gets a much easier matchup against the Lions, who have struggled to contain tight ends this season. Feidorowicz is always a touchdown threat, and the Texans should be able to score quite a few points this week.

FanDuel Defense - Week 8 DFS Picks

Dallas Cowboys (vs PHI, $4,600)

The Cowboys defense hasn’t looked elite this season, but they are in a good position this week. They get a great matchup against the Eagles, who have been a bit careless with the ball over the last few weeks. Philadelphia also ranks in the bottom five of the NFL offensively this season, which bodes well for the Cowboys defense in this game. Dallas is also a -4.5 point favorite in a game set at only 43.5 points. They are fairly cheap for a defense, and they can safely be used in all leagues this week.
