FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (7/20/16): MLB DFS Advice

Welcome back Rotoballers. It's another wild Wednesday on FanDuel as we look to hit it big once again. In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 7/20/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel. It's a full slate with things kicking off at 12:35 ET, so keep that in mind as you build your rosters and enter contests.

As for Vegas insights, the only heavy moneyline favorites tonight are the Red Sox (-185), Mariners (-175), Reds (-170). The contests with the highest over/unders are the Rays-Rockies (11.5), Giants-Red Sox (10.5) and Orioles-Yankees (9.5).

Editor's Note: RotoBaller offers the best Premium MLB Subscription - only $1.99 per week. All the tools you need to help win your seasonal and daily leagues: Hitter & Pitcher Streamers, Matchup Ratings for every player, Under-the-Radar Surgers for AVG, HR, Ks, plus daily DFS Cheat Sheets, Lineup Picks, Expert Lineups, Stacks and Avoids.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Red Sox versus Matt Cain

The Red Sox come into this matchup as the largest favorite of the day versus  Matt Cain (5.34 ERA), who is making his first start since June 13. The Red Sox have a .833 OPS versus RHP, best in the majors, making this the obvious play of the day (outside of Coors). The only constraint here is funds, as you likely cannot afford Mookie Betts, Xander Bogaerts, and David Ortiz. I recommend rostering Betts/Ortiz and working from there.

Reds versus Lucas Harrell

Things started so well for Harrell's return to the bigs, but reality has sunk back in. He was lit up versus the Rockies in his last start (3.2 IP, 7 R, 5 ER) and the Reds are a difficult matchup today. Great American Ballpark is the second most offensive friendly park outside of Coors and the Reds have 12 runs through the first two games. Reds come cheap on FanDuel, notably Adam Duvall and Billy Hamilton.

Also Consider: Rays versus Jorge De La Rosa

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Kyle Hendricks (SP, CHC) - $9,000

Hendricks has quietly been a solid contributor to the Cubs rotation, winning five straight starts including six scoreless innings last week versus the Rangers. He has a 6-1 record with a 1.50 ERA at home (10 GS) and should have success versus a Mets team ranked 19th in OPS (.711) versus RHP.

Anthony DeSclafani (SP, CIN) - $7,800

My go-to option for tourney formats, DeSclafani has returned to the Reds rotation and performed admirably, posting a 2.55 ERA in seven starts. The Braves have the worst OPS (.650) versus RHP, making this an excellent option given DeScal's price tag. The Reds have a heavy favorite (-170), increasing the odds he picks up a win.

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Catcher (C)

Nick Hundley (C, COL) - $3,300

While Chris Archer pitched better in his last start, he's been far from efficient and a date at Coors is worth investing in. Hundley has averaged 10 FanDuel points/game in his last four games.

First Base (1B)

Wil Myers (1B, SD) - $3,700

Keep in mind this is for the 8:15 ET game in which he gets Jaime Garcia. Myers has a .323/.394/.581 slash line versus LHP and will look to keep his hot first half going tonight.

Also Consider: Anthony Rizzo (1B, CHC) - $3,600

Second Base (2B)

Starlin Castro (2B, NYY) - $3,100

Castro is heating up but his price tag hasn't reflected it. He has 38 and 15 point games in his last three outings and is batting .375 in 32 career AB versus Yovani Gallardo.

Shortstop (SS)

Carlos Correa (SS, HOU) - $3,500

Here comes Correa; he has four doubles in his past three games and has a juicy matchup with Daniel Mengden tonight. He is 2-for-3 with a HR versus Mengden previously.

Third Base (3B)

Evan Longoria (3B, TB) - $4,500

Gotta pay to play here, but boy is it worth it. Longoria has 37, 21, and 30 points in his last three games and has a .892 OPS versus LHP. He is a must play for 50/50 formats.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Steve Pearce (OF, TB) - $3,500

Jump on this mistake, but now that everyone will as well. Pearce's return to the lineup was uneventful (1-for-4), but he was mashing (.378) before hitting the DL. He has a .383/.473/.766 line versus LHP and is a must-play in all formats.

Lonnie Chisenhall (OF, CLE) - $3,400

Chisenhall is a pure L/R play, and he gets one today with Ian Kennedy. He has a .313/.356/.484 slash versus RHP and is batting .556 in 9 AB versus Kennedy.

Khris Davis (OF, OAK) - $2,900

How is Krush so cheap? Hit hit another HR last night and has four in his past three games. If you've learned anything from this OF section, it's too not overspend and find the arbitrage plays.

Also Consider: Nelson Cruz (OF, SEA) - $3,000 and Matt Kemp (OF, SD) - $2,800
