FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (5/11/16): MLB DFS Advice

Welcome to another wild Wednesday on FanDuel. It's another full slate with all 30 teams going, plus a double-header for the Padres-Cubs. Keep in mind you only get the stats from the first game in main slates (no double-dipping).

There is a ton of pitching on the board today, highlighted by Madison Bumgarner and Noah Syndergaard. If you choose to stack Coors, keep in mind the field for pitching is stout. I highlight the pitching options here in our daily pitching segment, but I'll include my favorites here.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/11/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Marlins versus Chase Anderson

Anderson has graded as the worst pitcher on the board and sports a 6.44 ERA. He has allowed eight home runs in the past four games, making this a fantasy windfall. I'm targeting Giancarlo Stanton, Marcell Ozuna, Derek Dietrich, and Justin Bour.

Cleveland Indians against Doug Fister

I'm not fooled by Fister's string of quality starts. He's still striking out no one, his walk rate is up from 2015, and hitters are crushing what's thrown at them. His line drive rate and hard hit percentage both have climbed, and to top things off he has a 6.75 ERA at home. Lefties are also slugging .518 with 5 HR to this point. I like Carlos Santana, Francisco Lindor, Michael Brantley, and Jason Kipnis.

Also Consider: Diamondbacks against Chad Bettis

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Cole Hamels (SP, TEX) - $9,600

In a field so deep Hamels can get lost. The White Sox have a .655 OPS versus LHP, fourth-worst in baseball. Don't be scared off by Mat Latos and his 5-0 start either. Hamels will pick up the W today.

Marcus Stroman (SP, TOR) - $7,700

There's some risk here considering he's facing Bumgarner, but Stroman is on fire. Over his last two starts he has allowed three runs and struck out 17 batters.

Jerad Eickhoff (SP, PHI) - $6,900

If you want to stack Coors look no further. Eickhoff has allowed three runs over six innings in each of his past two starts, but those were the Indians and Cardinals. These are the Braves, who strike out 22.7% of the time versus righties. The Braves have scored just 2.94 runs/game at home this year.

Also Consider: Kyle Hendricks (SP, CHC) - $8,500 (GPP)

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Catcher (C)

Victor Martinez (C, DET) - $3,300

V-Mart continues to mash and has a nice spot here versus Max Scherzer. He's hitting .325 versus righties this year while Scherzer has allowed lefties to hit .318. Hopefully the name Mad Max scares ownership down, further increasing the value of this play.

First Base (1B)

Carlos Santana (1B, CLE) - $3,100

See my note above about Doug Fister and lefties. All but one of Santana's extra-base hits have come versus righties. He sports a .395 wOBA vs RHP.

Second Base (2B)

Dustin Pedroia (2B, BOS) - $3,500

Pedroia didn't exactly get in on the fun last night but I expect that to change here. While his .167 BAA vs LHP this year is poor, keep in mind that's 18 at-bats and he's a .304 lifetime hitter versus southpaws.

Also Consider: DJ LeMahieu (2B,  COL) - $3,700

Shortstop (SS)

Troy Tulowitski (SS, TOR) - $2,800

A perfect description of a punt play. Tulo has struggled this year and has a matchup with Madison Bumgarner. But keep in mind Tulo has a hit in four of his past five games (including a HR last night), and is 9-for-27 (.333) with two home runs versus MadBum. No one will play him, making this a nice punt.

Third Base (3B)

Jake Lamb (3B, ARI) - $3,700

Lamb has been on fire lately, hitting .353 with a home run and six RBI in the past three games. He has a tasty matchup at Coors versus Chad Bettis. Lamb sports a .955 OPS versus RHP this year.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Jackie Bradley Jr. (OF, BOS) - $3,600

Another player on fire, JBJ has multi-hit games in three straight contests and continues to be under-appreciated in fantasy.

Gregory Polanco (OF, PIT) - $3,400

Polanco has a .918 OPS versus RHP and was scheduled to be the #3 hitter in the lineup on Tuesday before the postponement. If he is slotted there again today, this is a steal.

Josh Reddick (OF, OAK) - $3,300

Another hitter on fire. Reddick has a six-game hitting streak going including multiple hits in five of those. He has a .954 OPS versus RHP and has a home run to his name versus Rick Porcello.

Also Consider: Matt Holliday (OF, STL) - $2,500
