Brandon Compton, OF, Miami Marlins

Level: High-A

2026 stats: 55 G, .230/.430/.450, 11 HR, 38 RBI, 41 R, 17 SB, 24.7% BB%, 32.8% K%, .347 BABIP, .415 wOBA, 137 wRC+

The Marlins spent last year's second-round pick on Compton, an outfield prospect from Arizona State University. He fetched a $2 million signing bonus, and he has played solely in High-A since putting pen to paper on his first professional contract.

Compton is a solid runner and defender who has played all three outfield spots since being drafted. With that said, he projects as a left fielder long-term. At the plate, there are some serious questions about the hit tool. While he's walking at an absurd 24.7% clip, he also has a highly concerning 32.8% strikeout rate. The home run numbers reveal plus power upside despite a glaringly unreliable hit tool.

Last week, Compton went 6-for-16 with four homers, eight RBI, eight walks, and six strikeouts. He also stole a base in each of the five games last week, bringing his season total to 17 steals. The power and speed combo gives him long-term upside in fantasy baseball, even though the strikeouts could end up being a liability.

Kade Anderson, SP, Seattle Mariners

Level: Double-A

2026 stats: 12 G, 12 GS, 7-0, 61.2 IP, 1.02 ERA, 1.60 FIP, 13.40 K/9, 1.17 BB/9, 0.20 HR/9, 47.9% GB%, .254 BABIP

Anderson was the No. 3 pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, fetching a whopping $8.8 million signing bonus. The LSU product is one of several flashy pitching prospects in Double-A for the Mariners, joining Ryan Sloan. Together, the two represent the future of the Mariners' big-league pitching rotation.

Anderson throws four plus pitches, including a fastball that reaches 97 mph with plenty of whiffs and incredible ride. He has great feel for his slider and curveball, and his changeup misses bats with its tunneling effect. He sits near the top of the Double-A leaderboard in just about every advanced metric, including whiff rate (99th percentile), out-of-zone swing rate (86th), and zone contact rate (99th).

Pitching last Friday, Anderson allowed two hits, one walk, and zero runs over six innings of work. He also struck out eight batters. He has been elite throughout most of the 2026 season, racking up 13.4 K/9 and stringing together five consecutive outings without an earned run.

Jack O'Dowd, 2B, Colorado Rockies

Level: High-A

2026 stats: 50 G, .358/.423/.711, 16 HR, 59 RBI, 40 R, 0 SB, 11.3% BB%, 18.0% K%, .371 BABIP, .475 wOBA, 175 wRC+

O'Dowd didn't leave school with a huge draft stock, so he ended up settling for an indy ball contract in the Pioneer League. He hit well enough in the independent ranks to earn a contract with the Rockies organization prior to the 2026 season.

O'Dowd is an encouraging home run threat at second base, a position where power doesn't always shine through. His ability to hit the ball hard should allow him to find success as he climbs through the minors and chases a job in the infield dirt at Coors Field. A walk rate north of 10% certainly doesn't hurt his case, either.

Last week, O'Dowd went 9-for-22 with four homers, 12 RBI, six walks, and two strikeouts. He went without a stolen base for yet another game. That level of production and power should continue to help the second baseman go from quiet bench bat to potential fantasy baseball contributor.

Christian Zazueta, RHP, Los Angeles Dodgers

Level: High-A

2026 stats: 11 G, 10 GS, 2-2, 48.2 IP, 3.88 ERA, 3.50 FIP, 12.21 K/9, 2.22 BB/9, 0.92 HR/9, 38.5% GB%, .268 BABIP

The Yankees originally signed Zazueta as an international free agent out of Mexico in 2022, but they shipped him off the Dodgers in a trade for Calaeb Ferguson less than two years later.

After recovering from an ankle injury last year, Zazeuta has shown that he's ready to contribute again. We're really impressed by the pairing of his fastball and changeup. Both are plus offerings, and the fastball gets plenty of ride to miss bats while the changeup tunnels well and tumbles out of the zone. He rounds out his mix with a subpar slider

Pitching last Thursday, Zuzueta allowed zero runs, zero walks, and zero hits over five innings of work. He struck out seven batters along the way, bringing his season strikeout rate to a whopping mark of 12.21 K/9. He also has not allowed more than one run in any of his three outings this month.

Estevan Moreno, SS, Seattle Mariners

Level: Single-A

2026 stats: 41 G, .287/.356/.548, 8 HR, 29 RBI, 27 R, 14 SB, 9.2% BB%, 30.5% K%, .385 BABIP, .392 wOBA, 120 wRC+

Moreno was one of the last players to hear his name called last year, heading to the Mariners in the 20th round with the 602nd overall pick. The Notre Dame product fetched a $150,000 signing bonus and has been a very well-rounded contributor through his first taste of professional baseball action.

Some of the underlying metrics point to long-term success for Moreno. Most notbaly, he has a 49.4% swing rate and 63.7% strike rate, indicating that he has decent awareness of his zone and a raw ability to pick up on pitches coming in. He's also a fair option on defense, playing a solid mix of first and third base.

Last week, Moreno went 12-for-26 with four homers, seven RBI, one walk, and seven strikeouts. His strikeout rate continues to climb, but at last he had a decent week at the plate. We'd like to see his power output continue on full display, as four homers in a week is nothing to scoff at.
