DraftKings Lineup Picks & Sleepers (4/5/17): MLB DFS Advice

Justin Bales's DraftKings analysis and advice. The top MLB DFS lineup picks on for 4/5/17, as well as a couple of sleepers for daily fantasy baseball rosters.

It's always interesting to see how Coors changes teams owned percentages. For example, the Rockies had a great matchup last night, and they were only owned around 10-15%, but they always seem to be owned closer to 40% in Coors.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/5/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings.

You can read our FanDuel and Yahoo DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @BalesSJustin.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Philadelphia Phillies v. Brandon Finnegan

The Phillies are a sneaky stack tonight. They aren't very expensive, and they get a great matchup against Finnegan, who struggled to keep the ball in the park last season at home. This game opened at even, but it's set at 9 runs, and they Phillies have a few guys who can dominate left-handed pitching. They'll likely go underowned, and this is the type of stack that can win you a tournament.

Colorado Rockies v. Wily Peralta

The Rockies aren't nearly as sneaky, but they tend to go underowned when they aren't playing at home. They get an elite matchup against Peralta, who enters this slate with one of the worst WHIP, K/9, and HR/9 of all pitchers. The Rockies are slight favorites in a game set at 9 runs, and they can be used in all leagues.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Jacob deGrom - vs ATL ($10,600)

This isn't a slate to save money at pitcher. deGrom had an elite 2.11 ERA and a 10.3 K/9 at home last season. He gets a great matchup against the Braves tonight, and he's a -194 favorite in a game set at only 7 runs. He's an elite option.

Rich Hill - vs SDP ($10,800)

Hill is coming off one of the most under-appreciated seasons in MLB history. He was throwing at an elite level, and he enters this game with one of the best WHIP, K/9, and HR/9 on the slate. He's a huge -245 favorite in a game set at only 7 runs, and he can be used in all leagues.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Gary Sanchez - at TB ($4,400)

Sanchez is an easy pick tonight. He is the most powerful catcher on the slate, and he gets a matchup against Cobb, who enters this game with a ridiculous 2.1 HR/9. Home runs are difficult to predict, but Sanchez is a good bet tonight.

First Base (1B)

Paul Goldschmidt - vs SF ($5,000)

Goldschmidt is one of the best hitters in the MLB, and he gets that much better against left-handed pitching. He gets a matchup against Moore, who is a respectable starter, but Goldschmidt always a great option against lefties.

Second Base (2B)

Cesar Hernandez - at CIN ($3,600)

Hernandez has decent power for a second baseman, but he also comes with elite speed. He has also been a slightly better hitter against left-handed pitchers. He gets a great matchup against Finnegan tonight, and Hernandez is a crucial part of a Phillies stack.

Shortstop (SS)

Asdrubal Cabrera - vs ATL ($3,700)

Cabrera had a huge Opening Day for the Mets, and he'll be looking to continue that against his former teammate, Bartolo Colon. He's a shortstop that comes with sneaky power, and he was a better hitter at home last season, as 18 of his 23 home runs came in New York. He can be used in all leagues.

Third Base (3B)

Nolan Arenado - at MIL ($5,000)

Arenado is a must start in a Rockies stack. He's a powerful player, who gets a great matchup against Peralta, who has struggled with his HR/9. Arenado is a consistent hitter with tremendous upside, and he can be used in all leagues.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Andrew Benintendi - vs PIT ($4,000)

Benintendi got started right where he left off on Opening Day, and it won't be long before he is priced with some of the best outfielders in the MLB. He displayed good power in his limited time in the Majors, and he's hitting in one of the best offenses in the MLB. He's an elite option in all leagues.

Mitch Haniger - at HOU ($3,600)

Haniger showed well in Spring Training, and he's expected to his second in the Mariners lineup. He gets a great matchup against Morton tonight, as well. He certainly comes with some risk, but he comes with more than enough upside to be considered in GPPs.
