DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (5/6/22): Today's Top NBA DFS Lineups

luka doncic NBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball advice

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on May 6th, 2022. Max Kulish provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Friday RotoBallers! Welcome to a playoff edition of the Friday night top plays. These articles focus on the overall best plays, which are typically more suited for cash games. However, with rotations getting shortened and the slate being so small, there probably isn't going to be a ton of leverage to be found, so consider these suggestions GPP viable as well (some exceptions may apply).

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/6/22. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome new NBA injuries report tool as the slate can completely change before lineups lock.

As always, feel free to follow my Twitter (@Maxadelphia), to keep up to date with NBA news and for my nightly NBA bets if you're into that sort of thing. Let's go!

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Luka Doncic - PG, DAL vs PHX ($11,600 DK, $11,500 FD)

Doncic and the Mavs simply look outclassed by the Suns through two games of their series. Luka has scored 80 combined points in those first two games and figures to once again shoulder an enormous workload as the Mavericks look to avoid an 0-3 hole. Doncic has yet to score below 52.5 fantasy points in his playoff run this season and it's unlikely that changes this Friday evening.

Tyrese Maxey - PG, PHI vs MIA ($7,000 DK, $7,200 FD)

Maxey didn't shoot particularly well from outside in Game 2, or Game 1 for that matter, but he still finished with a game-high 34 points in the Sixers' loss to Miami on Wednesday night. It's clear that James Harden can no longer score at the clip we've grown accustomed to seeing over the last decade, and Maxey seems to be a solid option for volume scoring, especially for his price tag.

Furkan Korkmaz - SG/SF, PHI vs MIA ($3,400 DK, $3,600 FD)

This is a rare GPP only recommendation in the top plays article. The Sixers shot an abyssmal 8-30 from 3 as a team in Game 2, but Korkmaz was only one of two Sixers to make more than one 3-point attempt. Coach Doc Rivers has shown a propensity to go deep into his bench while the Sixers are still without Joel Embiid, and we've seen role players step up and elevate their game at home time and time again in the NBA. Korkmaz is by no means a lock for ANYTHING tonight. Straight up, he could very well not touch the floor until the game is essentially over, but on the other hand, he's shot the ball much better (comparatively) than his teammates which could earn him extra minutes. Play him at your own risk.

Others to consider: Devin Booker ($8,500 DK, $9,000 FD), Tyler Herro ($6,900 DK, $6,400 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jimmy Butler - SF/PF, MIA @ PHI  ($9,300 DK, $10,200 FD)

Butler had an excellent Game 2 in Miami, posting a 22/6/12 line resulting in a 52.5 point fantasy performance. As long as Kyle Lowry remains out, Butler should continue being the primary ball-handler for this Heat starting unit. One thing we have not seen from Butler yet this series is him taking over the 4th quarter, since the Heat have been comfortably ahead by then in both games. If you think the 76ers make a stand in Game 3 at home, Butler becomes a very enticing play tonight.

Jae Crowder - SF/PF, PHX @ DAL ($5,000 DK, $5,400 FD)

Crowder has been the Suns' 3rd best player (after their starting backcourt) through two games against the Mavericks this round. He's posted fantasy scores of 27.5 & 33.25 in the first two games, and shot 3-5 from 3 in both games. Crowder has built a reputation of being an important piece to title contending teams over the last 5 years for his defense and ability to shoot the longball, and both of those areas are clicking for him & the Suns right now.

Danny Green - SF, PHI vs MIA ($4,100 DK, $4,000 FD)

I know you probably raised an eyebrow seeing Green's name here after his absolute stinker of a Game 2, but as always with DFS: volume is king. Sure, Green may have finished 1-9 from 3, but the fact of the matter is very few players left in the playoffs are even attempting half that many shots in a game. As long as Joel Embiid remains out for Philly, they're going to need more from their role players, especially a guy like Green who is a starter and will almost certainly play 24+ minutes.

Others to consider: Tobias Harris ($7,300 DK, $8,000 FD), PJ Tucker ($4,500 DK, $4,000 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Bam Adebayo - C, MIA @ PHI ($8,100 DK, $8,500 FD)

Bam has absolutely feasted on whoever the Joel Embiid-less 76ers have thrown at him. Posting back-to-back games with over 20 real points, and over 40 fantasy points, Adebayo is clearly taking advantage of the Sixers' lack of depth at center, and that should continue as this series shifts to Philadelphia.

Maxi Kleber - PF/C, DAL vs PHX ($4,400 DK, $4,500 FD)

Kleber has had a few big games so far in these playoffs, mostly spearheaded by his ability to hit 3's. In Game 1 of this series with the Suns, he went 5-8 from deep, en route to a 25 point fantasy performance. He has become a bigger part of the teams' rotation in the second round, playing more minutes in both Games 1 & 2 against Phoenix than any game in their first-round series against the Jazz.

Others to consider: Deandre Ayton ($7,600 DK, $7,400 FD), DeAndre Jordan ($3,800 DK $3,600 FD)
