DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (1/7/16): NBA DFS Advice

The top DraftKings daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for 1/7/17 by Justin Bales. Expert NBA DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for DraftKings.

Isaiah Thomas and Amir Johnson were recommended yesterday, and they both find themselves on the list again tonight. Who would have guessed that Johnson could have outscored Thomas last night? I wouldn't expect that again tonight, but you can read why I like them both again tonight below.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/7/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @BalesSJustin.

Editor's Note: New users that sign up on FantasyAces, make a $20 deposit, and enter any game will receive BOTH our full season NBA and NFL Premium Passes for free, a $119.99 value. DraftKings DFS Guards

Isaiah Thomas – PG, vs NO ($8,500)

Thomas has been one of the best point guards in the NBA recently, as he’s averaging nearly 30 points per game on the season. He has also been on fire recently, and he has been the focal point of the Celtics offense. He gets a good matchup against the Pelicans tonight, and Thomas dominated them for 56.25 fantasy points earlier this season. He will be locked into big minutes for Boston, and Thomas can be used in all leagues tonight.

Kyle Lowry – PG, at CHI ($8,400)

Lowry recently scored 13.5 fantasy points against the Spurs, which was his worst game of the season. Aside from that game, he has scored at least 40 fantasy points in seven consecutive games. In those seven games, he’s averaging 52.2 fantasy points per game. He has been contributing in multiple categories for Toronto, and he gets a solid matchup against Chicago tonight. The Bulls have been changing their rotation recently, and Lowry should be able to take advantage of the defense of Michael Carter-Williams. Lowry is a great option in all leagues tonight.

Tony Parker – PG, vs CHA ($5,000)

Parker has quietly been on fire for San Antonio over the last 10 days. Over that span, he’s averaging 19.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists in only 25.4 minutes per game. He generally doesn’t play big minutes, but he has been able to score at least 25 fantasy points in six consecutive games, including a huge 38.25 fantasy point performance against the Nuggets. He gets a tough matchup against the Hornets tonight, but Parker is extremely cheap, and he has been playing well enough to be used in all leagues.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

LaMarcus Aldridge – PF/C, vs CHA ($7,100)

Aldridge’s price tag is a bit of a joke at this point. He struggled against the Blazers recently, but he’s averaging 46.2 fantasy points per game in his last six games aside from his game against Portland. He has been scoring at an elite clip, and that likely is not going to slow down, as Coach Pop recently stated that Aldridge has the green light to shoot any time he’s on the court. He gets a decent matchup against the Hornets, and Aldridge can safely be used in all leagues on this slate.

Gorgui Dieng – PF/C, vs UTA ($5,300)

Dieng doesn’t have the big name of the other Wolves, but he has been a consistent fantasy option this season. He’s averaging around 30 fantasy points per game over the last 10 days, and he generally sits around 30 fantasy points each night. He is a double double threat, but he can also contribute in the other categories, as well. He gets a terrible matchup against the Jazz, but that has caused his price to drop, and now he’s a bit too cheap. Dieng can be used in all leagues tonight.

Amir Johnson – PF/C, vs NO ($3,900)

Johnson continues to be underpriced, as he has been playing solid minutes for the Celtics recently. He has been scoring around 20 fantasy points per game recently, but he also has the upside for much more. He gets a solid matchup against the Pelicans, who love pushing the pace in games. Johnson has also been a better fantasy option at home this season. He likely will not dominate and post huge numbers, but he’s cheap enough to allow you to use the players that will. He’s an elite salary relief option tonight.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Rudy Gobert – C, at MIN ($7,100)

Gobert has been one of the best centers in the NBA this season, and he has focused mainly on defense. He isn’t a huge part of the offense, as he’s only averaging 12.5 points per game this season, but he is also averaging 12.2 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game, which adds to his upside. He has scored at least 35 fantasy points in eight of his last 10 games, including five games with at least 40 fantasy points. He’s surprisingly cheap, as Gobert has been a consistent double double recently, and he can be used in all leagues tonight.

Jusuf Nurkic – C, at OKC ($3,600)

Nurkic has seen his role increase recently, as he has played at least 18 minutes in each of his last four games. He was able to score 32 and 32.5 fantasy points in two of those games, and he could see even more minutes if Nikola Jokic is out tonight. Nurkic is a player that has the ability to contribute in multiple categories, and he can score fantasy points in a hurry. He comes with terrible risk because of his foul troubles, but Nurkic is a great tournament option at his current price tag. If Jokic is out, Nurkic will nearly become a must start in tournaments.
