DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (1/29/17): NBA DFS Advice

We have another weird slate on DraftKings tonight. There are some early games, followed by a main slate at 6 PM, followed by a few late slates. I will be focusing on the main slate with my picks below.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/29/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @BalesSJustin.

Editor's Note: Our industry-leading NBA DFS Lineup Optimizer/Generator tool helps you build winning DFS lineups in seconds. Try it now for free, and get an edge on your competition.

DraftKings DFS Guards

James Harden – PG/SG, at IND ($12,800)

It’s never a bad idea to use James Harden. He has been on fire recently, as he’s averaging 33.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, 10.9 assists, 1.0 block, and 1.7 steals per game over the last 10 days, including a ridiculous 97.75 fantasy point performance in his last game. He has multiple 50+ point triple doubles this season, and he has been dominating recently. He gets a great matchup against the Pacers, and Harden can be used in all leagues tonight.

Jrue Holiday – PG, vs WAS ($7,500)

Holiday has struggled quite a bit this season, but he has really been heating up recently. He has scored 53 and 67.5 fantasy points in two of his last three games, and he’s averaging an impressive 19.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 8.4 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 3.0 steals per game over the last 10 days. He has also been a significantly better fantasy option at home, where he’s averaging nearly 10 more fantasy points per game this season. He gets a great matchup against a fast paced Wizards team, and Holiday can be used in all leagues.

Elfrid Payton – PG, at TOR ($6,700)

Payton is another player that struggled at times this season, but also flashed elite upside. Over his last 10 games, he has scored as high as 58.75 fantasy points and as low as 12 fantasy points. He tends to play big minutes for the Magic, and he gets a good matchup against the Raptors tonight. He does come with a fairly high price tag tonight, though. Payton is best suited for tournaments tonight.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Kawhi Leonard – SF, vs DAL ($8,700)

Leonard has been on fire recently, as he has scored at least 40 fantasy points in nine of his last 10 games, including four games with more than 50 fantasy points. He has been scoring at an elite level, but he has also been adding peripheral stats to his line, which has given him a much better floor and ceiling. He gets a tough matchup against the Mavs, who love slowing the pace down, but they have also struggled to rebound the ball, and Leonard is at his best when he’s adding peripheral stats. He can be used in all leagues.

Markieff Morris – SF/PF, at NO ($6,600)

Morris has been an extremely consistent player with great upside for his current price tag. Over the last 10 days, he’s averaging 17.8 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game. In has scored at least 30 fantasy points in nine of his last 10 games, including a huge 50.75 fantasy point performance against the Blazers. Morris gets a fast paced matchup against the Pelicans tonight, and he’s a player that can be used in all leagues tonight.

David Lee – PF/C, vs DAL ($5,700)

Lee has looked outstanding since taking over for the injured Pau Gasol, and he should be locked into solid minutes once again. He gets a matchup against a slow paced Mavs team, who struggles to rebound the ball. Lee is averaging 8.8 rebounds in 26.2 minutes per game over the last 10 days, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he were able to double double tonight. He still comes with a reasonable price tag, but he may best suited for tournaments tonight.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Nerlens Noel – PF/C, at CHI ($6,300)

Joel Embiid has been ruled out for the game tonight, which means Noel will likely play bigger minutes. In his last two starts, he was able to score 37.25 and 46 fantasy points, respectively. He’s a player that can contribute in multiple categories, specifically steals and blocks, which add to his upside. Tonight, he gets a good matchup against the Bulls, who have struggled against big men this season. If Noel is announced the starter, he’ll make a great option in all leagues.

Lucas Nogueira – PF/C, vs ORL ($3,900)

Nogueira recently returned from injury, and he has looked outstanding in each game since. He’s averaging 24.9 fantasy points per game over his last four games, and he has played at least 24 minutes in each of those games. He comes with double double potential, and he also has an outstanding block rate. Nogueira has also been a significantly better player at home, where he will be playing tonight. He gets a solid matchup against the Magic, as well, and he makes an elite salary relief option on this slate.
