DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (12/13/16): NBA DFS Advice

We have another mid sized slate of six games tonight. Some really, really solid cash game plays out there tonight on this slate, so it could be a good nice to boost your bankroll. There are a few injuries that could impact some players and games, so pay attention to twitter for updates prior to roster lock. So sit back, read up, and let's win some contest!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/13/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings. If you have questions, come to the chat room and ask me yourself. I understand the importance of an outside opinion so feel free to come by and talk basketball, @DFS_Tom.

Editor's Note: New users that sign up on FantasyAces, make a $20 deposit, and enter any game will receive BOTH our full season NBA and NFL Premium Passes for free, a $119.99 value. DraftKings DFS Guards

Derrick Rose - PG, @ PHO ($6,300)

Derrick Rose is in a really good spot tonight vs the Suns who are fourth worst in the league vs point guards, giving up 49 DraftKings points per game. Rose has been playing very consistent lately and is a great cash game option for tonight. Over his last four games, Rose has put up 32 points or more in three of those games. The Knicks are really spreading the ball around on offense and he is not only contributing in terms of real points, as he has scored 20 or more real points in three of his last four, but he is also getting a good amount of assists and rebounds. Should be a lock for around 30 points tonight.

Damian Lillard - PG, VS OKC ($8,300)

Lillard is  a really solid option for cash or GPP tonight. He is facing off against Russell Westbrook in what should be one of the games of the night. By all accounts, this game should be high paced and high scoring, which is great for daily fantasy players. The Thunder are giving up 48 DraftKings points per game to point guards, which is seventh worst in the league. Lillard's price has come down a bit over the last week, but his production is still there as he has put up 49 points or more in three of his last four games. This game should be a shoot out, and could be a nice game stack to cash in on all the points.

Tim Hardaway Jr. - SG, vs ORL ($4,400)

Tim Hardaway Jr. is a potential GPP play tonight only if Kent Bazemore is out. He is listed as questionable for today's game, but pay attention to twitter to see if his status changes after morning shoot around and pre-game warm-ups. Hardaway has seen an increase in minutes with Bazemore out and has put up 20 or more DraftKings points in three of his last four games. In those four games, he had a high of 31 points and a low of 11. So he has some potential to go off, and is only an option if Bazemore is out.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Maurice Harkless - SF,  vs OKC ($4,800)

Harkless is an interesting play tonight, because as I mentioned earlier, the Thunder at Trail Blazers should be high scoring, so some of the secondary plays on each team should be the benefactor of this. Harkless is cheap and he has scored 28 points or more in three of his last four games. I see him as more of a cash play to give you some salary relief rather than a GPP play. He has a solid floor and is averaging 24 points per game for the year, but doesn't have amazing up side, so I'd go with him for cash.

Jimmy Butler - SF, vs MIN ($8,700)

Jimmy Butler is as consistent as they come, and he might have some extra motivation going for him tonight as he is up against his former coach Tom Thibodeau. Now, I know this isn't a crazy interesting story line, but there might be a little something here. Some people say that narratives never lie, and I would try to have at least some exposure to him, if you are playing more than one tournament lineup. Butler is averaging 44 DraftKings points per game for the year and has a good upside as he has broken the 50 point barrier many times this year. I like him in GPPs mainly and a bit in cash if you can make the money work.

Anthony Davis - PF, vs GS ($11,300)

Anthony Davis is a great GPP option as always and he is going up against the Warriors who are giving up 47 points per game to power forwards. The Warriors are on a long road trip and this game tonight will be their third game in four days. At the beginning of the road trip, the Warriors coach, Steve Kerr, said that they would be resting some of their starters at some point. There are no confirmed reports yet, but if say, Draymond Green sits tonight, Davis will have even more upside.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Mason Plumlee - C, vs OKC ($5,500)

Mason Plumlee is a fantastic cash game option for tonight. He has scored 26 points or more in seven of his last nine games. He likes to play, "above the rim" and gets a good amount of easy rebounds and put backs, as this is where is gets most of his points. His offense game is improving, but is mainly the benefactor of having Lillard and McCollum on the same team. He has an outside chance of getting a double double, which will get you that nice bonus on DraftKings.

Serge Ibaka - C, @ ATL ($6,400)

Serge Ibaka is in a good spot to see a ton of minutes if Nikola Vucevic is out. Last report has Vucevic listed as questionable for today's game, so if he is out, Ibaka will see a bump in touches and production. Ibaka is more of a cash game play, as he has scored 25 points or more in three of his last four games. The Hawks are good on defense vs centers, but he still should be in a good spot to score points and hit value, with the extra playing time if Vucevic is out.
