DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/15/20) - MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/15/20. Brian Entrekin's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We head into Tuesday night with a 12 game slate on tap. It's a really strong slate with some decent pitching options and a lot of places to use bats. There is plenty of value to incorporate some studs as well. Make sure to listen to MLB DFS Quick Hits to get a full rundown of the slate as there are many ways to attack this wonderful 12 game slate.

When looking at the slate the top-priced arm is Yu Darvish on the road vs a struggling Indians offense. He is well worth the price, but may not be necessary with some other strong options. Coors Field is in play and both teams are in for a strong night, play the A's at likely lower ownership. There is plenty of value as well. Take a look at the Orioles (DJ Stewart SZN), the Angels, and a few others. This article will give you some of the main targets, but again there are many ways to go about tonight's slate.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/15/2020. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Jack Flaherty - P, STL at MIL ($9,400)

In Flaherty's last start the Cardinals appeared to take the kid gloves off. He threw five innings and more importantly he threw 95 pitches. Barring anything else popping off, Flaherty should be good to go tonight vs a struggling Brewers offense. Even though Flaherty has not had a full ace-like season we were expecting, he is striking out 25% of the batters he faces with a 45.7% groundball rate, and only a 4.3% barrel rate. He faces a Brewers team that strikes out nearly 27% of the time vs RHH with a sub .150 ISO and sub .300 wOBA. To put it lightly, the Brewers offense is really struggling and this could be the coming-out party for Flaherty.

Deivi Garcia - P, NYY vs TOR ($6,800)

The Yanks young stud arm will be making his fourth start of the season and has been electric in two fo the there starts. In those starts, he has thrown at least six innings and struck out at least six batters. He has struck out 25.7% of the batters he has faced in his three starts and more importantly has walked only two batters (2.9%). He has limited opposing hitters to a 6.1% barrel rate and a nice 28.6% hard-hit rate. Garcia has been more than solid and faced the Jays his last time out, going seven strong and racking up 24.8 DK points. He will be making his first start at Yankee Stadium and will look to stay hot, making for a really strong value arm tonight.

Other Options: Yu Darvish (CHC vs CLE) $11,300, Danny Duffy (KC at DET) $7,700

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Sean Murphy - C, OAK at Antonio Senzatela ($3,900)

Murphy has been hitting the ball hard all season, yet the results were not showing up. That has changed over the last eight games. He has hit safely in six of those eight games for a .391 average and four home runs. He is hitting it with such authority he has racked up a .522 ISO, .569 wOBA, 23.5% barrel rate, and a 47.1% hard-hit rate. Maybe more impressively he has 20.7% walk rate over that stretch. He has scored 14 or more points in five of the last eight games and has a very nice price tag in Coors tonight who has allowed a .400 average and a .422 wOBA vs RHH in Coors this season.

Other Options:Yasmani Grandal (CWS vs MIN) $5,100, Salvador Perez (KC at DET) $4,300

Jared Walsh - 1B, LAA vs Madison Bumgarner  ($4,000)

Walsh's price tag has risen quite a bit, but he has earned that price bump. He has hit safely in six straight games and eight of his last nine. Over his last six games, he has five multi-hit games good for a .440 average. He has also shown some really strong power over those six games hitting four home runs with a .560 average and a .573 wOBA. His quality of contact has been impressive as well barreling the ball 18.2% of the time with a 50% hard-hit rate. He is crushing everything and picking up where he left off last season in the minors where he hit 36 home runs. He faces Mad Bum tonight, who has not been the Mad Bum of old. At home, this season Bumgarner has allowed LHH to hit .333 with a .367 wOBA and has given up 2.7 HR/9. Walsh should be low owned today with massive upside.

Other Options: Freddie Freeman (ATL at BAL) $5,700, Christian Walker (AZ at LAA) $3,200

Dylan Moore - 2B/OF, SEA vs Tyler Anderson  ($3,800)

Moore has quite the 2020 season, a season that many did not see coming. Before going O'fer in yesterday's doubleheader he had hit safely in seven of his last 9 games for only a .265 average, but a .265 ISO and a .370 wOBA, and racking up fantasy points. He had 7 or more points in seven of those nine games, making him a strong cash consideration nightly. On the season he is hitting .286 vs RHP with a .370 wOBA and a .234 ISO. He gives you some savings tonight and a nice floor in a cushy matchup vs Anderson. (Just make sure the game plays with all the smoke)

Other Options: Whit Merrifield (KC at DET) $4,800, Ozzie Albies (ATL at BAL) $4,400, Ty France (SEA vs SF) $4,000

Maikel Franco - 3B, KC at Matt Boyd ($4,100)

One player that does not want this sprint season to end is likely Maikel Franco. He is riding a four-game hitting streak into tonight's action and has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games. Over those 11 games, he is hitting .391 with a .403 wOBA and a very impressive 12.1% strikeout rate. He faves the lefty Boyd tonight and on the season Franco is hitting .379 with a .393 wOBA vs LHP this season. On the season Boyd is letting RHH hit .336 with a .447 wOBA while allowing 3.1 HR/9. Franco and the Royals are a nice, low owned stack tonight.

Other Options: Yoan Moncada (CWS vs MIN) $5,200, Alec Bohm (PHI vs NYM) $2,700

Adalberto Mondesi - SS at Matt Boyd ($3,800)

The switch-hitting Mondesi was having a season to forget until 10 games ago when his bat woke up. Over those 10 games, he has hit safely in nine of 10 for a .308 average and has stolen eight bases. More impressively for Mondesi, he has hit four home runs with a .333 ISO and .414 wOBA. He has barreled the ball 17.4% of the time with a hard-hit rate of 47.8% as well. Mondesi is hitting for average while stealing bases and surprisingly flexing some power. His price has finally come up a little but is still a nice value at a top-heavy SS position.

Other Options: Trevor Story (COL vs OAK) $5,600

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Kevin Pillar - OF, COL vs Sean Manaea ($4,100)

The Rockies host the A's tonight and will face lefty Sean Manaea who has quietly put together a string of strong starts. Sadly, Coors is not where you want to go to keep that streak going. Pillar has hit safely in three of his five games in Coors as a member of the Rockies with two extra-base hits and will look to stay hot versus lefthanded pitching. On the season he is hitting .306 with a .274 ISO vs LHP. The entire Rockies outfield not named Charlie Blackmon are cheap tonight, so grab Pillar or some others to enjoy some Coors action.

Michael Brantley- OF, HOU vs Kyle Cody ($3,600)

Just another night of DFS action and another night where DK prices Brantley too cheap. All Brantley does is hit. Over his last seven games, he has hit .308 with a .231 ISO and a 54.5% hard-hit rate. He is a strong cash game play night in and night out with major upside in an Astros stack. He hits in the middle of the Astros order in a juicy matchup vs Cody tonight. Cody has not thrown more than three innings or 55 pitches in an appearance this season, so Brantley and the Astros will get Cody for a trip through the lineup and then some shaky Rangers bullpen. Load up on the Astros.

DJ Stewart - OF, BAL vs Huascar Ynoa ($2,400)

Well if you are a regular Quick Hits listener or reader of my columns, you have been enjoying this run by Stewart, and as long as DK keeps pricing him too cheap we will keep rolling with him. He has hit safely in eight of his last 10 games, good for a .394 average. He is also crushing everything with seven home runs, a .667 ISO, and a 289 wRC+. His quality of contact is even crazier as he has been barreling the ball 38.1% of the time with a 52.4% hard-hit rate over this stretch. He has another great matchup vs Ynoa tonight who has allowed LHH to hit .304 with a .379 wOBA on the season. Stewart is a free square once again tonight in cash and your GPP lineups.

DraftKings DFS Stacks

  • COORS- some really nice value to go with the studs, both teams in play, A's likely lower owned
  • Baltimore Orioles vs Atlanta Braves (Huascar Ynoa, RHP)
  • Chicago White Sox vs Minnesota Twins (Randy Dobnak, RHP)
  • Sneaky Stack- Kansas City Royals at Detroit Tigers (Matt Boyd, LHP)
  • A lot of good spots to stack tonight
