De’Von Achane's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 18 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit De’Von Achane for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB1
ANALYSIS: Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane might be the most polarizing player during the upcoming offseason because of his success and injury history. The rookie running back is the RB22 for the year, averaging 16.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He is also the RB22 on a points-per-game basis, only behind Christian McCaffrey, Kyren Williams, and his teammate – Raheem Mostert.
While the former Texas A&M star hasn’t had a featured workload most of this season, he got that opportunity last week with Mostert out of the lineup. The rookie had 14 rushing attempts for 107 yards and 21.7 fantasy points in the loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Achane might get another featured opportunity again this week. Mostert missed his second consecutive day of practice today because of knee and ankle injuries.
The Dolphins face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night in the final game of the regular season. The winner of that AFC East matchup will win the division and have the No. 2 seed in the playoffs.
Hopefully, Mostert will miss his second consecutive game in Week 18. Achane could finish as the overall RB1 against a Bills defense that has given up over 100 rushing yards to running backs in five games this season, including Miami’s backfield in Week 4.
