Derek Carr is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for quarterbacks. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 10% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Derek Carr is a must-add in all fantasy football leagues after another stellar performance in Week 2.
When the New Orleans Saints offense looked unstoppable in their Week 1 rout of the Carolina Panthers, many attributed it to the Panthers' struggles. However, the Saints proved it was no fluke by putting up 35 points in the first half against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2.
Carr has shined in both contests, surpassing 20 fantasy points in each. In Week 1, he posted 200 passing yards and three touchdowns, while in Week 2, he added 243 yards, two passing touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown. These performances have propelled Carr to the No. 2 quarterback ranking in fantasy so far this season, but he is owned in just 10% of leagues.

New offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak seems to have unlocked the Saints' offensive potential. With Rashid Shaheed stretching the field, Alvin Kamara looking like his All-Pro self, and Chris Olave catching everything in sight, Carr has no shortage of weapons.
Carr also benefits from one of the easiest remaining schedules for quarterbacks, including another matchup against the Panthers and weak defenses during the fantasy playoffs in the Giants and Raiders.
In Week 4, Carr faces the Philadelphia Eagles, a team struggling in pass coverage with multiple rookies still adjusting to the NFL. Carr is a must-add in all fantasy formats.
