BALLER MOVE: Add in 10+Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 43% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: This is a savage and ballsy move in equal parts. Deon Jackson entered the fantasy talk just a couple of weeks ago ahead of Week 5 when it was confirmed that Indianapolis' RB1 Jonathan Taylor would miss that game. That, along with Nyheim Hines' injury woes, boosted Jackson's rostership up to outer space. What now with Hines and Taylor still banged up... but Jackson joining them on the sidelines too?
Just in case you missed it, Jackson left the field in the fourth quarter last Sunday. He was on the field for the majority of the game and clearly out-touched Phillip Lindsay carrying the rock 12 times for 42 yards and a touchdown, while also going a perfect 10-for-10 on receptions for 79 more yards receiving. The result: 28.1 PPR points and an RB1 finish pending MNF.
With Taylor/Hines out, this was the case a week ago too when Lindsay logged 15 opportunities (8.4 PPR points) to 17 (13.1). Now everything is back up in the air when it comes to who will lead the Colts in Week 7. Of course, if Taylor misses that game then you should make sure to grab as many shares of Deon Jackson as you can no matter what happens to him or any of Lindsay/Hines.
If it's announced that Jackson will miss some time with Taylor back in the mix, though, you might still want to consider rostering him as Taylor's main backup and handcuff ROS.
Jackson is coming off the absolute best RB game of Week 6 and he already posted a 13.1-PPR score in Week 5 for another top-25 finish among players at the position. Hines had not even cracked the top 30 in the first three weeks of play, so Jackson's couple of explosions might have already relegated him to RB3 in the Colts' depth chart at running back.
