Pyotr Kochetkov Close to Returning
Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov (lower body) looks set to return to the lineup this week. He practiced on Monday, with Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour saying after the session that Kochetkov would be back "very, very soon." The Russian netminder has yet to play this season due to a lower-body injury. Last year, he had a solid 27-16-3 record. So far, Fredrik Andersen has shared the crease with Brandon Bussi, who will become redundant once Kochetkov is back. The two netminders have been in top form, producing a 2.75 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage for the team.
