Nick Schmaltz Stretches Point Streak to Seven Games
Utah Mammoth forward Nick Schmaltz extended his point streak to seven games with an assist in Sunday's 3-2 road win over the Winnipeg Jets. He collected the only helper on Mikhail Sergachev's power-play goal in the second period. Schmaltz now has a chance to match his own franchise record with an eight-game scoring streak in Tuesday's matchup against the Edmonton Oilers. During his current point streak, Schmaltz has accumulated a total of seven goals and seven assists. His hot run of form has made Schmaltz one of the NHL's leading scorers. On Sunday, he reached 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) in 10 games, joining Vegas star Jack Eichel at the top of the league's scoring charts.
