Rasmus Sandin to Miss Third Straight Game
Washington Capitals defenseman Rasmus Sandin (upper body) stayed behind as the team traveled to Dallas on Monday. He will sit out a third straight game due to an upper-body injury on Tuesday against the Stars. On Monday, it was also announced that Sandin has been placed on Injured Reserve. He is eligible to be activated from Injured Reserve for Saturday's tilt against the New York Islanders. This season, Sandin's contributions include two assists, four shots, 10 blocks, and 16 hits in seven games. Dylan McIlrath and Declan Chisholm have featured on the Washington blue line during Sandin's absence, but they don't have fantasy value.
