Chicago Cubs relief pitcher Craig Kimbrel was officially promoted following Wednesday’s loss versus the Atlanta Braves. Kimbrel will slide into the closer role for the Cubs and instantly becomes one of the better options for owners looking for saves. Reliever Tony Barnette was sent down to Triple-A to clear space for Kimbrel.
