ANALYSIS: It's been 16 consecutive starts and counting for Bruce Brown at the Nets SF position. Shouldn't change any time soon, as NYC Mayor Adams doesn't seem to be too inclined to lift the COVID-related ban that is preventing Kyrie to play home games and that would shake BKN's lineup a bit, potentially impacting Brown's time. So, go rush your WW just in case you can still find Bruce sitting in there.
It's not just that BB is starting games, far from it. It's that Brown has logged 32 MPG in that 16-game span while ramping up those ticks to 37 (!) MPG this past week alone (four games played since last Sunday, included). Brown is not getting overly high usage rates on a daily basis being part of the Nets' first unit (around 16%) but even then he's still finding a way to putting up numbers nightly. Brown is averaging an 0.97 FP/min, slightly above the league average.
The per-game line is sitting at 14-6-4-1 in March and a better 15-7-5-1 in the most-recent four-game span through last Friday's game against Portland. Not a lot of floor-stretching for Brown, who's not even averaging 0.5 3PG, but that's not bad given it's helping him in keeping up his phenomenal 49% shooting from the field on 6+ FGA over the season. Now in the middle of a 12-field-goal-attempt-per-game stretch, Brown is still shooting 47% from the floor, barely turning the ball over, and has gotten 7+ rebounds or 5+ assists in all four of his last games.
