BALLER MOVE: Add in AL only and Deeper Leagues
ANALYSIS: More than most MLB players, Brock Holt, 26 years old, is likely elated just to be playing in the major leagues. His “dirt-dog” mentality and hustle are evident throughout his game. It wasn’t the plan but his 21 R, 1 HR, 15 RBI, 5 SB, .338 AVG fantasy slash-line for the year has led the Red Sox to do everything possible to keep him in the line-up, and he is presently leading off on a daily basis. Holt doesn’t have much power to speak of but showed some speed and a .307 BA in his time in the minors. His multiple position eligibility in yahoo and batting in a slot ahead of Victorino (anticipated back shortly), Pedroia and Ortiz make him an add in all deep leagues and AL only leagues, and even as a short-term injury replacement in standard 12 team leagues.
