Bold Predictions for Fantasy Football Week 6: Lamar Jackson, Bijan Robinson, Tony Pollard, Brian Thomas Jr., Cade Otton

Tony Pollard - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Mike gives his fantasy football bold predictions for Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season. Should you start or sit Lamar Jackson, Tony Pollard, Cade Otton?

Week 6 is here, and I’m back with another edition of fantasy football bold predictions. This week’s list of bold predictions will include Lamar Jackson, Bijan Robinson, Tony Pollard, Brian Thomas Jr., and Cade Otton.

Every week, I will provide some fun and bold fantasy football predictions. While these bold predictions aren’t the most likely outcomes, they are things I believe could happen this week.

Let’s look at my five bold predictions for Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Lamar Jackson

And Jayden Daniels combine for over 60 fantasy points

Sunday’s matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Commanders is the most exciting game in Week 6. Not only is it a matchup between two of the NFL’s most dynamic dual-threat passers, but it’s also a game between the top two scoring quarterbacks in fantasy football.

Jackson is the QB1, averaging 24.9 fantasy points per game, while Daniels is the QB2, averaging 22.7 fantasy points per game. The reigning NFL MVP has scored 23.6 or more in all but one game this season. Last week, he had one of the top performances of his career, totaling 348 passing yards, four touchdowns, and 33.4 fantasy points against the Cincinnati Bengals, including an all-time great score to Isaiah Likely.

Meanwhile, Daniels scored 19.7 fantasy points in Week 5 against a talented Cleveland Browns defense. However, he was a few plays away from another massive performance. The former LSU star scored 24 or more fantasy points in three of his first four games, totaling four rushing touchdowns in those contests. Many have compared Daniels to a younger version of Jackson, making Sunday’s matchup must-see television.

More importantly, the Ravens and Commanders have been two of the friendliest defenses to opposing quarterbacks. Baltimore has surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points per game, including 33.8 to Joe Burrow last week. Washington has given up the seventh-most, including four passing touchdowns and 29.5 fantasy points to Baker Mayfield in Week 1.

Bijan Robinson…

Has his second career two-touchdown game

Anyone who drafted Robinson in the first round of their fantasy football draft might need to be talked off a cliff. The superstar running back has had only 26 touches for 151 scrimmage yards and 18.6 half-point PPR fantasy points over the past two weeks, scoring single digits in both contests.

However, the former Texas star faced two of the better run defenses in the NFL in a five-day span while dealing with a couple of minor injuries. Thankfully, Robinson is prime for a bounce-back performance in Week 6 against an awful Carolina Panthers run defense.

Carolina has surrendered the third-most rushing yards (603), most rushing touchdowns (nine), and the second-most fantasy points per game (29.6) to running backs in 2024. Last week, D'Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson combined for three rushing touchdowns and 33.5 fantasy points despite Caleb Williams having his way with Carolina’s secondary.

Robinson’s only career two-touchdown performance came in Week 12 against the New Orleans Saints last year, scoring once on the ground and in the air. The Atlanta Falcons know they can’t continue to win games by having Kirk Cousins throw the ball 58 times like last week. Expect Raheem Morris and Zac Robinson to feature Robinson early and often in this game.

Tony Pollard…

Ends the week as the overall RB1

The Tennessee Titans had their bye in Week 5, coming at the perfect time for the offense and their quarterback. Will Levis barely played in the Week 4 win over the Miami Dolphins because of a shoulder injury. Thankfully, he will be ready for Sunday’s matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

Meanwhile, the offense needs some work after averaging 19.8 points per game over the first four weeks. However, the one thing that doesn’t need fixing is Pollard. The veteran running back has been productive, averaging 61.5 rushing yards and 13 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, scoring 12.7 or more in all but one contest.

Pollard had his best performance of 2024 heading into the bye week, totaling 17.8 fantasy points and a rushing score. While he forms a 1-2 punch with Tyjae Spears, the veteran running back has been the alpha in the backfield, playing 14.5 more snaps per game.

Pollard had his best performance of 2024 heading into the bye week, totaling 17.8 fantasy points and a rushing score. While he forms a one-two punch with Tyjae Spears, the veteran running back has been the alpha in the backfield, playing 14.5 more snaps per game.

More importantly, Pollard has an outstanding fantasy matchup this weekend. The Colts have surrendered the fourth-most rushing yards (119) and the ninth-most fantasy points (22.2) per game to running backs this season. Last week, they gave up 101 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and 25.4 fantasy points to Tank Bigsby on only 13 attempts.

Brian Thomas Jr.…

Is a massive bust following a career performance

If you read last week’s bold predictions article, you know I called for Thomas to have a top-five finish. Unfortunately, the star rookie receiver didn’t have that good of a performance. Yet, he still ended Week 5 as the WR9, totaling five receptions on eight targets for 122 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 20.7 half-point PPR fantasy points against the Indianapolis Colts.

While Thomas was outstanding in Week 5, fantasy players want to glue him to their bench this week. The Jacksonville Jaguars should have Evan Engram for the first time since opening weekend because of a hamstring injury. The veteran tight end is one of Trevor Lawrence’s favorite and most trustworthy weapons in the passing game, which should impact Thomas’ target volume.

The former LSU star has taken advantage of susceptible pass defenses the past two weeks, scoring 18.9 or more fantasy points in both contests. However, Thomas will face his toughest challenge as a pro this week in London. The Chicago Bears have an elite pass defense led by superstar cornerback Jaylon Johnson.

Chicago has held wide receivers to 20.5 fantasy points per game, the seventh-fewest in the NFL. They have given up only one receiving touchdown to wide receivers this season, surrendering a 28-yard score to Nico Collins in Week 2. Furthermore, Collins is the only wide receiver (23.5) to score more than 10.2 fantasy points in any game against the Bears this year.

Cade Otton…

Has a top-5 finish in Week 6

Unfortunately, the tight end position has been a nightmare for fantasy players this season. George Kittle (13), Brock Bowers (10.5), and Dallas Goedert (10.5) are the only three to average double-digit half-point PPR fantasy points per game in 2024. However, the tight end position is starting to rebound after a poor start.

Yet, fantasy players are always looking for streaming options with upside off the waiver wire. With Travis Kelce on his bye in Week 6, Otton is the perfect replacement option. The third-year pro was a popular waiver wire target this week, as he has been solid for fantasy players over the past few games.

Otton is only the TE23 for the year, averaging 4.2 fantasy points per contest. However, he has been the TE12 over the past three weeks, averaging 6.8 fantasy points per game, scoring 6.2 or more twice. Furthermore, his role on offense has expanded, seeing seven targets per game over the past three weeks after totaling four in the first two contests.

Meanwhile, Otton faces a New Orleans Saints defense this week that has gotten obliterated by tight ends lately. The Saints have surrendered 7.3 receptions for 91.3 receiving yards and 12.8 fantasy points per game to tight ends over the past three weeks despite Kyle Pitts putting up a goose egg against them in Week 4. Don’t be surprised when Otton takes advantage of the matchup and has a top-five finish.
