Biggest Week 11 Busts: Fantasy Football Reactions for Josh Allen, Saquon Barkley, Dalvin Cook, Nick Chubb, Justin Jefferson

Josh Allen - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Several NFL players underwhelmed in Week 11 of the 2022 fantasy football season. Andersen identifies busts at each position and whether they'll bounce back.

The 11th NFL Sunday of the 2022 season has come and gone. Hopefully, you woke up on Monday morning feeling very good about how your week went. However, this week's slate of games was certainly stress-inducing for many fantasy football managers.

Part of that stress was caused by a group of players who drastically underachieved in Week 10. These players simply did not meet fantasy expectations, and it cost their managers in a big way. Let's take a look at the biggest busts from Week 11, as well as whether or not we can still have some trust in these players moving forward.

All point totals are based on the PPR scoring system.

Fantasy Football Quarterback Busts

Josh Allen, 16.55 FPTS

It was an uncharacteristic week for Allen. Not only did he pass for just 197 yards and one touchdown, but he accrued just seven rushing yards, his lowest mark since Week 10 in 2021. On a positive note, Allen protected the football after being responsible for seven turnovers over the last three weeks.

Lamar Jackson, 17.55 FPTS

Jackson completed 24 passes for 209 yards in Week 11. He also led the Ravens in rushing attempts (11) while adding 31 yards and one touchdown on the ground. He salvaged his performance with the score, but it was still underwhelming. He should get back on track against the Jaguars next week.

Kirk Cousins, 3.25 FPTS

Cousins and the Vikings looked pitiful against the Cowboys. The 34-year-old completed just 12 passes for 105 yards, all while being sacked seven times and losing a fumble. He'll rank as a QB2 during another tricky clash versus the Patriots in Week 12.

Fantasy Football Running Back Busts

Saquon Barkley, 5.5 FPTS

Another team that couldn't get much going? The Giants. Barkley finished with just 35 scrimmage yards, and to make matters worse, one of New York's touchdowns was vultured by backup running back Matt Breida. Barkley, of course, will still rank as a high-end RB1 against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving.

Dalvin Cook, 7.2 FPTS

Cooks was efficient on Sunday, rushing 11 times for 72 yards. However, with the Vikings struggling against the Cowboys, Cook's involvement declined throughout the game. He should get back on track against the Patriots this coming Thursday.

Nick Chubb, 9.7 FPTS

Chubb was uncharacteristically inefficient on the ground Sunday, rushing 14 times for just 19 yards. He also caught three passes for an additional 48 yards through the air. Overall, it was an underwhelming outing from Chubb, whose production is far from a guarantee when the Browns are playing strong teams. As a result, there is some worry about what to expect from him in Week 12 against the Buccaneers. With that said, he should still be viewed as an RB1 purely based on his elite talent.

Dameon Pierce, 3.7 FPTS

Pierce struggled mightily on Sunday, rushing 10 times for just eight yards. He added a mere nine receiving yards along the way. This was his worst game of the season — yes, even worse than when he totaled 39 yards while backing up Rex Burkhead in Week 1. He'll rank as a mid-to-low RB2 against the Dolphins in Week 12 since Houston will likely suffer the pains of an early deficit.

Brian Robinson Jr., 5.7 FPTS

After Robinson's commanding performance against the Eagles, he garnered plenty of hype heading into a favorable matchup versus the Texans. Instead, he finished the day with just 57 rushing yards while being out-produced by Antonio Gibson. He remains an RB3 heading into Week 12 against Atlanta.

Miles Sanders, 5.8 FPTS

The Eagles narrowly escaped Week 11 with a victory. Their lead back struggled along the way, posting just 48 scrimmage yards. His production has been inconsistent this season, and he ranks as a low-end RB2 heading into next weekend's game against the Packers.

D'Onta Foreman, 2.4 FPTS

Between Baker Mayfield's poor quarterback play and the Panthers' matchup against a talented Ravens defense, Foreman suffered as part of Carolina's overall offensive struggles. He rushed 11 times for just 24 yards and turned in his worst fantasy performance since the Christian McCaffrey trade.

Michael Carter, 2.7 FPTS

Carter was held in check by the Patriots on Sunday, rushing for just 19 yards while losing two yards in the receiving game. The Jets' offense looked absolutely miserable against New England, but they could bounce back against the Bears, which would bode well for Carter's production.

Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Busts

Justin Jefferson, 6.3 FPTS

Sunday showed that Jefferson isn't immune to bad games. While he played fine, the Vikings struggled and Jefferson's fantasy performance suffered as a result. Fortunately, he should get back on track in Week 12 despite a tricky matchup versus the Patriots.

CeeDee Lamb, 9.5 FPTS

The Cowboys scored 40 points, but Lamb wasn't a major factor. One week removed from an 11-catch, 150-yard, and two-touchdown game, the 23-year-old was responsible for just five yards and 45 catches versus Minnesota. He should return to WR1 territory against the Giants in Week 12.

A.J. Brown, 9.0 FPTS

Brown caught five passes for 60 yards, losing one fumble along the way. He now has just 10.7 fantasy points over his last two games, quickly losing his appeal as a mid-range WR1. We'll see if he can get back on track against the Packers and Jaire Alexander in Week 12.

Terry McLaurin, 9.5 FPTS

McLaurin turned in his worst performance since Taylor Heinicke replaced the injured Carson Wentz. On one hand, it was a letdown for fantasy managers who were finally trusting the wideout as a fringe WR1. On the other hand, his ceiling is absurdly high against the Falcons in Week 12.

Tyler Boyd, 6.2 FPTS

Boyd was expected to have a solid game on Sunday, so it's only fitting that he totaled just two catches for 45 yards while Samaje Perine and Trenton Irwin combined for four receiving touchdowns. The 28-year-old drops down to the WR3 tier against the Titans in Week 12.

Adam Thielen, 4.5 FPTS

Thielen caught two passes for 25 yards on Sunday, falling victim to the Vikings' offensive woes. He has now produced single-digit fantasy points in three consecutive weeks and is nothing more than a fringe WR3 heading into Thursday Night Football versus New England.

Fantasy Football Tight End Busts

T.J. Hockenson, 8.4 FPTS

After fetching 19 targets and totaling 27.5 fantasy points over the last two weeks, Hockenson faltered in the wake of the Vikings' struggles. Just like his teammates, perhaps he can get back on track against the Patriots this coming Thursday.

Dalton Schultz, 5.2 FPTS

The Cowboys' passing game was active Sunday, but most of it ran through running back Tony Pollard. As a result, Schultz was held in check, catching just three passes for 22 yards. The Cowboys' next challenge comes in the form of the Giants on Thursday afternoon.

David Njoku, 3.7 FPTS

Njoku returned from a two-game absence on Sunday but managed to catch just two passes for 17 yards. Next up for the Browns? A matchup with the surging Buccaneers in Week 12 before Deshaun Watson returns in Week 13.

Hayden Hurst, 4.28 FPTS

Coming out of the bye, Hurst turned in his second-worst fantasy outing of the season. His role in the passing game has declined throughout the year, but there's reason to be optimistic that he could be a high-end TE2 against the Titans next week.
