I've been an avid football, baseball and basketball fan since my childhood in the early 1990s. I've continued to turn a lifelong passion for sports into a deep knowledge of the leagues I cover. I was introduced to the fantasy sports community in 1994 after joining a redraft basketball league, and have since expanded to football and baseball as well playing everything from redraft to dynasty leagues using snake drafts and auctions. I began my writing career in 2007, following my graduation from Kansas State University, specializing in college basketball coverage. As a fantasy sports analyst, I take pride in digging through analytics and finding meaningful information from advanced metrics. Whether I'm evaluating MLB prospects, or breaking down NFL trends, my goal is to provide my readers with insight they can rely on. You can find me on X at @sra9888.

Defenses (DEF) to Start in Week 11 (2025): Best Fantasy Football Streaming Options

Heading into Week 11, we see several starting defenses likely to take a step back, setting up streaming options. The Chiefs face a tough test in Denver, while the Jaguars host Justin Herbert and the Chargers. Meanwhile, the Lions and Eagles' stout defenses face off against their even stronger offenses. With so many strong defenses […]

Josh Hart Questionable Against Wizards

New York Knicks guard Josh Hart (ankle) is listed as questionable heading into Monday's matchup with the Washington Wizards. If Hart is unable to play, Landry Shamet and Jordan Clarkson could see an increased workload. The Knicks will be without Mitchell Robinson (rest) at the end of the back-to-back. Hart chipped in 14 points and […]

Mitchell Robinson to Miss Monday's Matchup for Rest

New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson (rest) will miss Monday's matchup, the second leg of a back-to-back, despite just 13 minutes on Sunday. Robinson has appeared in just two games this season as he works himself back into shape following a left ankle injury he struggled with through the preseason. When healthy, the big man's […]

Zach LaVine to Play Monday Despite Questionable Tag

Sacramento Kings guard Zach LaVine (back) is expected to play in Monday night's matchup with the Denver Nuggets. LaVine has been hampered by lower back soreness, but has yet to miss time this season. The 30-year-old guard has been incredible to start the season, averaging 29.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists through the first […]

Dennis Schroder Available for Kings on Monday Night

Sacramento Kings point guard Dennis Schroder (hip) will be available for Monday night's matchup with the Denver Nuggets. Schroder was listed as questionable leading up to the matchup. The 32-year-old is coming off his best performance of the season in Saturday's 135-133 win over the Bucks. Schroder managed 24 points, seven assists, five rebounds, and […]

Zach Edey Assigned to G-League, Expected Back Soon

Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey (ankle) was assigned to the G-League's Memphis Hustle on Monday. Edey's stay with the Grizzlies affiliate should be brief, as the second-year big man recovers from offseason ankle surgery. Edey placed fifth in Rookie of the Year voting last year, after averaging 9.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in […]

Keaton Wallace Practices, Tuesday's Status Remains Uncertain

Atlanta Hawks point guard Keaton Wallace (illness) participated in Monday's practice after missing Sunday's matchup with the Cavaliers. Wallace is averaging just 11.2 minutes per game while operating as a depth piece behind Trae Young. Wallace is shooting 62.5% from three this season, and should be viewed as a depth piece that can shoot from […]

Defenses (DEF) to Start in Week 10 (2025): Best Fantasy Football Streaming Options

Streaming defenses can make or break a fantasy matchup at this point in the season. There are currently just 17 defenses rostered in less than half of all Yahoo! leagues. We must separate the contenders from the pretenders and find the right plug-and-play units as we continue to navigate bye-weeks. If you can time the […]

Matt Prater Remains Low-End K1, Despite Tough Matchup

Buffalo Bills kicker Matt Prater remains a high-value kicker heading into a matchup with a Chiefs defense that ranks third against kickers in fantasy scoring this season. Prater has managed to score seven or more points in all but one matchup this season. With the Bills offense running at full speed, Prater has managed to […]

Raiders Defense a Borderline Fantasy Option for Week 9

The Las Vegas Raiders defense has largely struggled through the season, as they've scored zero or negative points in three of seven games this season. Despite the team's success against the Patriots and Titans, they have struggled to produce any consistency outside of superstar Maxx Crosby. The team's 10.1% turnover rate ranks middle of the […]

Dalton Kincaid Off Injury Report, Big Week Expected

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid appears ready for a full workload as the team prepares to take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Last week, Kincaid was eased back into the lineup with just a 22% snap share against the overmatched Carolina Panthers. This week, the Bills will need their star at full […]

Healthy Brock Bowers Ready to Shine

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers (knee) is finally logging full practices and seems poised for a breakout game against a depleted Jacksonville Jaguars defense in Week 9. A healthy Bowers could give quarterback Geno Smith the dominant weapon he's been lacking in the passing game all season. Bowers was viewed as the top […]

Jakobi Meyers Leads Team in Targets, Despite Trade Demands

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (knee) is an interesting flex play heading into Week 9 despite looming trade rumors. Meyers has turned 43 targets into 29 receptions for 329 yards despite missing the team's Week 7 matchup with the Chiefs. The disgruntled receiver offers flex upside this week as the Raiders take on […]

Tre Tucker Emerging as High-Ceiling Option vs. Jaguars

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker has not found consistency due to Geno Smith's struggles to adapt with his new team. Tucker has failed to eclipse 10 fantasy points in five of his seven games this year, but has high upside against a bottom-ten fantasy defense against opposing receivers this season. The Jaguars dynamic […]

Keon Coleman Remains a Borderline Flex Option vs. Chiefs

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman has continued to see looks as a top-three option in the passing game heading into Week 9. Coleman has garnered 39 targets, resulting in 27 receptions for 267 yards and two touchdowns through seven games. Despite trailing Khalil Shakir in targets, Coleman has led the Bills in snap share […]

Khalil Shakir Pacing Bills Receivers Ahead of Week 9 Matchup

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir has emerged as the go-to option for quarterback Josh Allen as the team heads into the second half of the season. The 25-year-old receiver has seen five or more targets in each of the last four games and has established himself in the passing game as the team has […]

Ashton Jeanty Faces Another Stiff Test in Week 9

Las Vegas Raiders rookie running back Ashton Jeanty will battle the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9 on Sunday. Jacksonville's defense ranks eighth against fantasy running backs this season, but the Raiders will look to get Jeanty involved early in what should be an evenly matched game. The team has also been trending towards higher usage […]

James Cook Remains Low-End RB1 in Difficult Matchup

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook remains a must-start despite a matchup against the formidable Kansas City Chiefs defense. Cook was electric last week, posting 216 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.   Cook surrendered carries last week to Ray Davis, due to their lopsided matchup, but should regain a stronghold on the offense in […]

Geno Smith Remains a Borderline Super-Flex Option

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Geno Smith enters a Week 9 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have allowed the fifth-most points to opposing quarterbacks. Smith continues to struggle with his new team, as he posted a season-low 2.78 points last week against the Chiefs. The Raiders' signal-caller has been one of the worst starting quarterbacks […]

Josh Allen a Must-Start QB Despite Tough Week 9 Matchup

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen remains at the top of the quarterback hierarchy despite a matchup with an elite Kansas City Chiefs defense. Allen's scrambling ability raises his floor, making him matchup-proof. Last week, the reigning MVP ran for two touchdowns to balance out his limited pass attempts based on the team's blowout win. The […]

Luka Doncic Upgraded to Probable Ahead of Friday's Matchup

Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic (finger) has been upgraded to probable ahead of Friday's matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies. Doncic had missed the last three games while recovering from a left finger sprain and lower left leg contusion. Doncic is averaging 46 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 8.5 assists through his first two games. With […]

Marcus Smart Participates in Shootaround, Likely to Play

Los Angeles Lakers guard Marcus Smart (quadriceps) participated in Friday's shootaround ahead of their matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies. Afterward, Smart told reporters he will "most likely" play in tonight's matchup. The Lakers have been devastated by injuries early this season, and Smart's return would be big for the club. The 31-year-old has appeared in […]

Trey Hendrickson Misses Second Straight Practice

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson (hip) has missed a second consecutive practice leading up to the team's Week 9 matchup with the Chicago Bears. Hendrickson's four sacks pace a defense in desperate need of a spark. The team has allowed a league-high 3263 yards of offense, and ranks 31st and 32nd against the pass […]

Joe Flacco Returns to Practice, Status for Sunday Unclear

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco (shoulder) returned to practice Thursday after missing Wednesday's session. The Bengals will need Flacco on the field as they face the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Through three games, the veteran has tossed seven touchdowns without a single interception. Flacco's ability to manage the game and distribute the ball to the […]

Cardinals Preparing to Start Kyler Murray in Week 9

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (foot) will likely return to action when the team faces the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night. Head coach Jonathan Gannon was recently asked if the team was preparing Murray to start this week, and he stated, "Yeah." Murray is a must-start if he suits up, as the Cowboys have allowed […]

Christian Kirk Returns to Practice, Could be Back in Week 9

Houston Texans wide receiver Christian Kirk (hamstring) has been sidelined since the team's Week 5 matchup with the Ravens. Kirk returned to practice on Wednesday, ahead of the team's Week 9 showdown with the Broncos. The 29-year-old's availability would be a major addition to a passing game averaging just 215.3 yards per game. Kirk has […]

Nico Collins Advances to Next Phase of Concussion Protocol

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (concussion) returned to practice as he continues to progress through concussion protocol ahead of the team's Week 9 matchup with the Denver Broncos. The 3-4 Texans hope to have their leading receiver back ahead of a difficult test against the stout Broncos secondary. Through six games, Collins has tallied […]

MarShawn Lloyd Far From a Return to Practice

Green Bay Packers running back MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) won't be practicing anytime soon, according to head coach Matt LaFleur. Lloyd continues to be an enigma for fantasy owners, as his hype has been consistently derailed by one injury after another. Lloyd joined the Packers as a third-round pick in 2024, but has appeared in just […]

Dontayvion Wicks Remains Out of Practice, Questionable for Sunday

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (calf) missed another practice Wednesday, which is especially concerning following his absence in Week 8. Wicks has seen his role diminish in recent weeks, coinciding with the emergence of Matthew Golden. The Packers are taking on a Carolina Panthers team that allows just 198.4 passing yards per game, […]

Joshua Palmer Absent From Practice, Status Uncertain for Week 9

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Joshua Palmer (ankle) failed to practice on Wednesday ahead of a marquee matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. Palmer hasn't played since Week 6, but the team is hoping to have its big-play threat back to stretch the field against an elite Chiefs defense. If Palmer is unavailable this week, expect […]
