Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller

5043 articles

You won't find a bigger Cubs fan than myself. Aside from my love of fantasy sports, which includes MLB, NFL and NBA, I own my own animal care business. I graduated from Columbia College in Chicago and currently reside in Chicago, IL. My love of fantasy sports started for me in the early 2000's and I have steadily been active with the same group of friends year in and year out for every league in baseball, basketball and football. I am hoping to help all RotoBaller members with any questions they may have. I consider myself an expert with minor league prospects, as it is a love of mine. I hope to give the best advice I can to the RotoBaller world!

The Boston Red Sox have designated catcher Jonathan Lucroy for assignment. The team announced the move on Wednesday and will move forward with Christian Vazquez and Kevin Plawecki behind the plate. Jose Quintana Throws Bullpen Session On Wednesday

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Jose Quintana (thumb) threw a bullpen on Wednesday. The lefty successfully threw 28 pitches and is scheduled to throw another bullpen session on Saturday. Eloy Jimenez Returns To Lineup On Wednesday

Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (head) will return to the lineup and bat sixth on Wednesday. Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon struggled in his first start since returning from Tommy John surgery on Tuesday versus the Cleveland Indians. The lefty only last 3 2/3 innings and allowed four hits, five runs, three walks and four strikeouts. It’s no surprise that Rodon was rusty in his first start back, but […]

Dylan Cease Struggles

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Dylan Cease struggled in his first start of 2020 on Tuesday versus the Cleveland Indians. A former top pitching prospect, Cease only lasted 2 1/3 innings and allowed seven hits, four runs, zero walks and one strikeout. The success of Dylan Cease will be crucial for a young White Sox […]

Tim Anderson Hits First Home Run Of 2020

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson went 3-for-5 with a home run in Game 1 of Tuesday’s doubleheader versus the Indians. Anderson was struggling coming into the game and the hope is that his three hits will lead to the start of a hot streak for the shortstop. Anderson offers both power and speed at […]

David Bote Stays Hot

Chicago Cubs infielder David Bote stayed hot with a solo home run as part of a 2-for-3 performance on Tuesday versus the Reds. Bote also drew a walk. Bote has started the last two games for the Cubs and with the way he’s seeing the ball, Bote could remain in the lineup. Bote serves in […]

Jason Kipnis Picks Up Two Hits

Chicago Cubs second baseman Jason Kipnis went 2-for-4 with a run scored and RBI. Alec Mills Posts Quality Start

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Alec Mills picked up a quality start on Tuesday versus the Reds. Over six innings, Mills allowed two hits, two runs, two walks and struck out three. Mills only blemish was a two-run home run by Nick Castellanos. The Cubs couldn’t of asked for a better out from Mills as he […]

Jose Quintana Throws Bullpen Session On Monday

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Jose Quintana (thumb) threw a bullpen session on Monday. Jeremy Jeffress Picks Up Save No. 1

Chicago Cubs relief pitcher Jeremy Jeffress came in with one out and the bases loaded to retire two Cincinnati Reds and record his first save of the season Monday. Craig Kimbrel Struggles In Season Debut

Chicago Cubs closer Craig Kimbrel struggled Monday versus the Reds. Kimbrel only recorded one out and walked four Reds and also hit a batter while allowing two runs. David Bote Knocks In Two Runs

Chicago Cubs infielder David Bote went 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI on Monday versus the Reds. Bote got his first start of the season with a lefty on the mound and he delivered. Bote will be in a super utility role for the Cubs and likely won’t play enough to offer value to fantasy […]
