Should I start Anthony Richardson, Sam Darnold, C.J. Stroud for Week 13? Fantasy football start em, sit em picks and recommendations for the 2024 NFL season.
Quarterback is a position that typically has a higher floor scoring-wise than other positions, yet a much higher ceiling. A position with plenty of players that can put up 25 or more fantasy points in a game without surprising anyone is bound to be very important.
Unfortunately, some QBs have been highly inconsistent this season -- despite having some big games, they've dropped a seemingly equal amount of duds. Others played very well in 2023, but regressed so far this season, and are looking to get back on track.
Here are three signal-callers that are commonly rostered in fantasy football leagues. We'll break down whether you should start or sit them.
Should I Start C.J. Stroud for Fantasy Football?
Yes. While he threw two interceptions last week against the Tennessee Titans, he'll face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13, who have the worst pass defense in the league. They've allowed the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks per game this season. There's no question you should start Stroud.

Houston's offensive line has played terribly, but the Jags don't have quite the pass rush that the Cowboys have. The Texans also have a great receiving corps with wide receivers Nico Collins and Tank Dell. Both could have big games, elevating Stroud's ceiling.

Should I Start Anthony Richardson for Fantasy Football?
In deeper leagues, yes. But he'll be missing his top wideout, Josh Downs (shoulder), who's extremely unlikely to play in Week 13. The team is also missing numerous offensive linemen due to injury. The Colts have also been wildly inconsistent on offense with ARich leading the charge.

A very low completion percentage, numerous drops, and plenty of penalties have hurt his fantasy value massively. In leagues with 14 or more teams, though, his upside is worth chasing. But it comes with significant risk.

Should I Start Sam Darnold for Fantasy Football?
The Minnesota Vikings will face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13. This may have seemed like an easy matchup last year, but Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold could have his hands full against a Cardinals defense that's actually played lights out the last three weeks.

Still, you can probably trust in Minnesota's head coach and offensive playcaller Kevin O'Connell. They're also an offense loaded with talent, possessing wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, tight end T.J. Hockenson, and running back Aaron Jones. They also have a solid offensive line. Darnold can be safely started. He's this season's QB9.
