The Minnesota Vikings requested an interview with Michigan's Jim Harbaugh for their head coaching vacancy on Saturday. He emerged as a candidate in part because of a strong relationship with new Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. The 58-year-old spent four years as the head coach for the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-2014 and went 44-19-1 during that span. Harbaugh hasn't formed any new agreement with Michigan after earning a spot in the college playoffs and becomes an appealing option for the Vikings due to his past NFL success.
