BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 15% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: I'm not going to convince you of what Jalen Guyton is not: a bona fide oft-used WR. But let me at least build a case for Guyton's addition ROS, even more in deeper leagues out there with needy GMs trying to make it through the postseason toward the fantasy chip, please. I was debating between writing about the two next-men-up in Los Angeles (Guyton and Josh Palmer), but you should prioritize Guyton pretty much everywhere.
Guyton has been relevant for two weeks in a row, but he was a fantasy afterthought prior to those back-to-back nice outings. That said, he has out-snapped Palmer all year long, which is enough of a reason to favor Guyton over JP. While getting more than 3 targets just two times in the first 11 games of the year, Guyton has featured as the Chargers WR3 all season and he got 4 and 3 targets in the past two games with Keenan Allen and Mike Williams missing time going through COVID protocols.
While finishing with 18.9 (W13) and 17.7 (W14) PPR points is obviously going to be hard for Guyton to do going forward, he only played an average 56% snap share in those two games, so it's not that he needed huge volume to reach those marks. Guyton is coming off 4-4-90-1 and 3-3-87-1 receiving games, he has proved solid and useful even on low volume, and with both Keenan/Mike taking the defense's eyes off him Guyton could be in for one or two more explosions ROS. Must roster in deeper leagues with upside for a WR1/high-end WR2 finish in the next two or three games.
