FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (12/6/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Chris Paul

Juan Carlos Blanco highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 12/6/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a 10-game slate on tap Monday night, one that could see a slew of big names out of action due to either conventional injuries or COVID-19 protocols.

The fact there are 20 teams in action does afford us a player pool that can withstand a few absences, however, and we should be in for a night of very competitive basketball for DFS purposes -- there is only one true projected blowout (Magic-Warriors), with all other games carrying spreads of 7.5 points or fewer as of Monday morning on FanDuel Sportsbook.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/6/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward and center on FanDuel, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle and lower end of the salary scale. You can also check out DraftKings lineup picks and injury news before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.

FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Chris Paul, PG – vs. SA ($8,400)

Paul will once again take the floor without Devin Booker (hamstring) on Monday night and checks in having scored 51.7 and 34.2 FD points in two of the last three contests, with a dip to 26.6 in a tough matchup gainst the Warriors last time out. Having had the weekend off for rest and now facing a Spurs squad that's allowed the eighth-highest offensive efficiency to point guards (26.0 percent), Paul is firmly in play at his salary, especially considering San Antonio has allowed a Western Conference-high 51.0 FD points per game to point guards in the last seven contests and Paul is averaging 44.3 FD points per 36 without Booker on the floor.

Jrue Holiday, PG – vs. CLE ($7,800)

Holiday could once again be operating without Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf), and the veteran point guard already checks in having posted no fewer than 32 and as many as 46.9 FD points in his last seven games. The Cavaliers make for good candidates to facilitate another strong performance whether or not Giannis available, considering they've allowed the 11th-highest offensive efficiency to point guards (25.2 percent) on the season along with the seventh-most FD points per game to point guards on the season (48.4). If Antetokounmpo does indeed sit out again, it's worth noting Holiday is already averaging 40.8 FD points per 36 minutes without him on the floor this season.

Lonzo Ball, PG – vs. DEN ($6,600)

Ball continues to sport a salary that he often overdelivers on, as he checks into Monday night having posted 38.8 or more FD points in five of his last 11 games alone. The  matchup lines up well for another fruitful effort Monday, as the Nuggets have allowed the fifth-highest offensive efficiency on the campaign to point guards (26.5 percent). Denver is also giving up 46.8 FD points per game to PGs for the season and has surrendered the sixth-most assists per road game (25.6) overall, the latter figure particularly relevant considering Ball

Also consider: Ish Smith ($4,500)

FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Paul George, SF – at POR ($8,900)

George has scored 45.1  and 38.2 FD points in his first two games back from a one-game absence due to an ankle injury, and he already owns tallies of 45.3 to 56.6 FD points in three games against the Trail Blazers this season. Portland continues to have trouble defending small forwards as well, allowing NBA-high offensive efficiency to the position (27.3 percent) and giving up the second-most FD points per game to the position (46.0). The Blazers have also been very generous against three-point shooters, allowing an NBA-high success rate of 38.9 percent from behind the arc that could certainly burn them against George, whose efficiency from distance is down this season but who still taking a co-career-high 9.2 shots per game from behind the arc.

Jerami Grant, PF – vs. OKC ($7,700)

Grant continues to be the linchpin of Detroit's attack, averaging 34.0 FD points per game for the season and scoring between 42.9 and 53.7 in four of his last seven games alone. The big man's upside should come to the forefront again Monday, as the Thunder have one of the league's weakest frontcourts and have allowed NBA-high offensive efficiency to power forwards (31.8 percent). Moreover, OKC is giving up an NBA-high 59.5 rebounds per road game -- partly the byproduct of shooting an NBA-low 38.1 percent when traveling -- and the Thunder have conceded an NBA-high 51.9 FD points per contest to power forwards as well.

Draymond Green, PF – vs. ORL ($6,900)

Green has been an integral component of the Warriors' resurgence this season, posting 33.3 FD points per contest and offering a vivid reminder of his considerable ceiling just two games ago with a haul of 58.3 against the Suns. The Magic could well lay out the red carpet for another prolific effort, as Orlando has allowed the seventh-highest offensive efficiency to power forwards (27.0 percent), along with the third-most FD points per game to the position (50.5). The Magic is also yielding the fifth-most total rebounds (56.9) and sixth-most assists (25.6) per road game, along with the sixth-most steals per contest overall (8.5), giving the versatile Green no shortage of paths to fantasy production.

Also consider: Gordon Hayward ($7,200)

FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Joel Embiid – at CHA ($10,400)

The Hornets have been absolutely helpless against centers most of the season, making Embiid worth every dollar of his salary Monday. Embiid has scored well over 50 FD points in three of his first four games back from COVID-19 protocols as well, and Charlotte checks in allowing the eighth-highest offensive efficiency to fives (34.1 percent) along with an Eastern Conference-high 58.4 FD points per game to the position and an Eastern Conference-high 57.6 rebounds per home contest. Elevated as his salary is, Embiid has already managed to generate over a 5x return on it in 6 of 13 games this season, underscoring how vast his ceiling is.

Jarrett Allen – at MIL ($8,700)

Allen has been outstanding in what is turning into a breakout campaign, and he's now averaging 37.8 FD points per contest. What's more, he's been on quite the upswing lately with scores of between 38.2 to 52.6 FD points in seven straight. The Bucks have been tough on centers most of the season, but they've still allowed a robust 47.4 FD points per contest to the position. Milwaukee has also yielded the seventh-most rebounds per home contest (55.4) and has conceded the fourth-most blocks per game (7.0) in the last three contests, two other figures that portend a potentially successful night for Allen.

Clint Capela –  at MIN ($8,200)

Capela has had three straight down games, but he'd scored 52.1 to 58.4 FD points in the three contests immediately prior, a testament to his upside. The big man could be ready for a bounce-back effort Monday, as the Timberwolves have allowed 56.8 FD points per game to centers on the season, along with the second-highest offensive efficiency to the position for the season (35.4 percent). Additionally, no team has surrendered more rebounds per contest than Minnesota's 57.3, while Capela comes in averaging a robust 12.5 boards per game. Minnesota's recent generosity in the paint -- the T-Wolves have allowed the fifth-most points in that area in the last three (53.3) -- could also work toward Capela's benefit, as he's scoring 89.1 percent of his points in that part of the floor for the season.

Also consider: P.J. Washington ($6,000)
