BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 6% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: You won't believe me when I say it next but... the Detroit Lions somehow got to win a game in this the year 2021 of our Lord. That's right, folks. And pretty much everything came down to the ridiculous performance of a certain wide receiver that happened to be in the right places at the right times while playing under QB Jared Goff, with all of the difficulties that add to the equation.
It's not that Amon-Ra St. Brown hadn't been good earlier in the season, but obviously, his W13 explosion was hardly expected. ASB put on a show catching 10-of-12 targets for 86 yards and a touchdown to put the cherry on top. All of his receiving stats, and also his total snaps played (69) were season-high marks as he also logged his second-highest snap share (96% to W12's 98%) of the year so far. All things considered, ASB put up a tasty 24.8 PPR points that almost doubled his prior-best mark of 13.5 all the way back in Week 5.
The Lions are not going to turn into an NFL-trouncing machine ROS, and you can 100% count on that. That said, though, Amon-Ra has already had four games above 10 PPR points, is averaging exactly 10.0 FPPG in games in which he has seen more than one target, and he's scored 47 total PPR points after the Bye (four games) compared to 54 prior to it (eight games). St. Brown should be a nice WR3/Flex play going forward and a must-roster player in every deeper format.
