Aric Almirola, other than a 2020 crash, has been excellent at Talladega with a slew of top-10 results. The Stewart-Haas racing driver even won the 2018 fall race when he led the one lap that counted -- the final one. At one point, the No. 10 car finished in the top 10 eight consecutive times. That feels like a modern record at Talladega given its history. It is not. However, this is still impressive. Almirola starts right at 20th, and the feeling is he can move up the field and potentially contend. He has finished 20 of 23 races on the track, which is also an accomplishment.
