Ryan Blaney has not enjoyed the success some other drivers have at Darlington. Some argue it takes time to get used to the 25 (turns 1 and 2) and 23-degree banking (turns 3 and 4). Maybe that is true because Blaney did seem to get it right at the last race on the track. He started in 16th and ended up eighth. Now, by winning the past two weeks, the Ford driver is on the pole. Team Penske has to worry seeing three Hendricks cars (4th-6th) but at the least, Blaney could lead laps early, lurk, then contend at the end. That has worked the past two weeks anyway. Maybe it finally happens on the 1.366-mile track too tough to tame. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
