DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (8/11/20) - MLB DFS Lineups

juan soto fantasy baseball rankings outfield MLB injury news

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/11/20. Brian Entrekin's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We head into Tuesday night with a large twelve-game slate on tap. We have Coors in play tonight, plus other great spots to target as pitching is very suspect on tonight's slate. There are a lot of ways to go tonight and the DK plays should help point you in the right direction. Listening to MLB DFS Quick Hits will also help get you pointed in the right direction.

When looking at the slate there are a few main targets. Zack Wheeler should be popular when paying up, especially with the uncertainty of Max Scherzer's health. The middle tier has a lot of risk with Jordan Montgomery and others. Then the punts are just that, punts. I would not get too cute with pitching today.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/11/2020. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Ross Stripling - P, LAD vs SD ($7,900)

Stripling has not been as dominant as many would like coming into the season, allowing three runs or more in his last two starts. Sure that is not great, but from a fantasy perspective he has been pretty good and that big reason is the strikeouts. He has seven strikeouts in two of his three starts, one of those was against the Padres in his last start. He has scored ten of more DK points in all three starts and 18 or more in the two starts where he was striking everyone out. The Padres have been smoking the baseball, but they are also striking out almost 24% of the time vs RHP to start the season and on a slate with suspect pitching, we will roll with Stripling tonight.

Brandon Bielak - P, HOU vs SF ($7,500)

Bielak looked good in his first start, throwing five shutout innings, but only striking out 1. In his minor league career, he had strikeout rates of 23% or more while also having groundball rates above 43%. Both strong and should come into play nicely versus a bad Giants team who only has a .138 ISO versus RHP to start the season. Another plus for Bielak was the fact he threw over 80 pitches in his last start so he should be good for 85-90 tonight and hopefully goes at least five with some more strikeouts.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Austin Romine - C, DET vs Gio Gonzalez ($2,800)

Romine has been a consistent value for the Tigers. He has hit safely in six of ten games including three multi-hit games in the last five games. Last year Romine hit .309 with a .471 SLG vs LHP and will look to build on that tonight. He faces Gio tonight who allowed a .435 SLG to RHH last season. Romine is a free square on DK tonight.

Other Options: Victor Caratini (CHC at CLE) $3,600, James McCann (CWS at DET) $3,600

Yuli Gurriel - 1B, HOU vs Tyler Anderson ($4,300)

Gurriel continues to be priced to cheap. He brings a great floor to the game with upside night after night as he hits 5th for the Astros. Last year Gurriel had a .241 ISO vs LHP and will look to add onto that tonight vs Anderson. Gurriel is a solid cash game play again tonight vs Anderson and the Giants bullpen.

Other Options: Anthony Rizzo (CHC at CLE) $5,200, Matt Olson (OAK at LAA) $4,900, Todd Frazier (TEX vs SEA) $4,100, Miguel Cabrera (DET vs CWS) $2,400

Tommy La Stella - 1B/2B, LAA vs Mike Fiers ($3,300)

La Stella has been moved to the top of the Angels order and has been rolling since the change. He has now hit safely in four of his last five games and has put up eight or more points in four of his last five games (12+ in three of five). He faces Fiers tonight who gave up over one HR/9 and a 40% hard-hit rate to LHH last season. La Stella is a great value and a nice piece of an Angels stack.

Other Options: Ryan McMahon (COL vs AZ) $4,900, Nick Solak (TEX vs SEA) $4,200, Mike Brosseau (TB at BOS) $3,300, Jake Cronenworth (SD at LAD) $2,300

Marwin Gonzalez - 1B/3B, MIN at Josh Lindblom ($3,900)

Gonzalez is getting everyday at-bats in the Twins order while filling in for Josh Donaldson. He will be facing Lindblom tonight who has been good but also hittable vs LHH. It's a small sample, but early on LHH is hitting .364 with a .409 SLG vs Lindblom. Gonzalez is a cheap piece of the Twins action and a nice cash gameplay if looking to be a little different.

Other Options:  Anthony Rendon (LAA vs OAK) $5,300, Austin Riley (ATL at NYY) $4,000, Asdrubal Cabrera (WAS at NYM) $3,800

Dansby Swanson - SS, ATL vs Jordan Montgomery ($4,700)

Dansby's price continues to rise as he continues to crush this season. Since the move to the second spot in the order with Ozzie Albies out has been tremendous. Swanson has also hit lefties well, last season hitting .294 with a .803 OPS. Tonight he faces Montgomery who allowed RHH to hit .269 against him last season and this season is off to a really bad start vs righties. The wind is also blowing hard out to leftfield tonight which helos make Swanson an even nicer GPP target

Other Options: Xander Bogaerts (BOS vs TB) $4,600, Niko Goodrum (DET vs CWS) $3,900

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Juan Soto - OF, WAS at Rick Porcello ($5,200)

Soto has returned and has returned with authority. He has double-digit DK scoring in three of his first four games. He has a great matchup tonight vs Porcello who allowed LHH to hit .284 with 1.4 HR/9 last season. Even though Soto is $5,200, he is too cheap for his matchup and will soon be closer to $6K. Enjoy him while you can at this price.

Joey Gallo - OF, TEX vs Marco Gonzales ($4,600)

Gallo is in a sneaky matchup tonight. Gallo has shown reverse splits vs LHP, last year having a crazy .331 ISO. It also helps that Gonzales has reverse splits as well with LHH hitting .302 with a .478 SLG last season. Gallo will be a sneaky GPP play tonight.

Dylan Moore - OF, SEA at Mike Minor ($3,900)

Moore has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball of late. Moore is hitting .333 to start the year with eight extra-base hits. He faces Minor tonight who has allowed 1.3 HR/9 to RHH each of the last two seasons, while also allowing a lot of hard contact. Moore is cheap tonight and a nice piece of a Mariners stack.

Other Options: J.D. Martinez (BOS vs TB) $4,900, Marcell Ozuna (ATL at NYY) $4,400, Franmil Reyes (CLE vs CHC) $4,100, Mike Tauchman (NYY vs ATL) $3,800, many many more
