The New York Mets selected San Diego State shortstop Anthony Walters with the 91st overall pick in the third round in the 2020 MLB draft on Thursday. New York followed that up with Arizona catcher Matthew Dyer in the fourth round and University of New Orleans pitcher Eric Orze in the fifth round. Walters, 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, is known as a defense-first prospect. Dyer has played catcher, first base, second base, third, and left and right field, so he's extremely versatile. He has a plus arm but lacks high-end framing and receiving skills behind the plate. Dyer is athletic and speedy for his size (6-foot-4, 185 pounds). Orze, a righty, is a two-time cancer survivor with a heavy split-fingered fastball and excellent makeup.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
