Dallas Stars defenseman John Klingberg will not be in the lineup as his team takes on the Detroit Red Wings at the American Airlines Center on Friday night. The 27-year-old, who recorded two power-play assists in the Winter Classic on Wednesday, is currently dealing with a lower-body injury and is listed as day-to-day. Klingberg's absence comes at a tough time as he was just starting to heat up with eight assists over his past six contests and looked to have regaining his form as an elite puck distributor. Following Friday's tilt with the Wings, the Stars will have four full days off so the hope is some time off to recover will suit him best long-term. The Swedish native has registered 18 points (two goals, 16 assists), 10 power-play points and 63 shots on goal in 34 games played this season.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
