FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (4/27/19): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Joel Bartilotta highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 4/27/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

It's Saturday and that means we have games spread all throughout the day. What we need to consider with this sort of slate is the weather. With games spread all around, it's critical to fade any games with serious question marks. The good news is that no games are in serious doubt here. The ones we need to keep an eye on are St. Louis, Minnesota and Chicago though. The only truly worrisome game is the White Sox game and it's definitely something that needs to be checked prior to lineup lock.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/27/2019. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @BartilottaJoel.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Jose Berrios- P, MIN vs. BAL ($10,100)

Berrios is the third-highest priced pitcher on the board and there's reason to believe he should be the highest priced pitcher. Not only does Berrios have at least 27 FanDuel points in all six of his starts, he's also averaging 40 fantasy points per game. That's the highest rate of any pitcher on this slate and that should continue in this superb matchup. The Orioles currently rank 27th in xwOBA and 26th in wOBA. That's no surprise when considering their terrible lineup, and it's a major reason why Berrios enters this game as a -270 favorite.

Dakota Hudson - P, STL vs  CIN ($6,300)

Hudson is a sneaky, cheap play against the Cincinnati Reds, as they currently sit bottom-five in batting average, on-base percentage and OPS. That's why Hudson is a -140 favorite and that makes him worth a shot at just $6,300.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Jose Abreu - 1B, CWS vs. DET ($3,900)

Abreu is finally breaking out of his slump and he's hard to overlook in this tasty matchup. Over his last six games, Abreu is 13-of-29 at the plate, adding five runs, four doubles, two homers and 14 RBI to his tally in that span. That's obviously monster production and it should continue against a weak lefty like Ryan Carpenter with Abreu getting the platoon advantage.

Ryan McMahon - 2B, COL at ATL ($3,000)

McMahon has been quietly solid for the Rockies since returning from injury on April 18. Since then, McMahon has collected five runs, two homers and eight RBI. That's quite the run in an eight-game span, as McMahon has an OBP just shy of .400 in that stretch too. Getting the platoon advantage against Mike Foltyniewicz is big too, with Folty really struggling in his minor league rehab stint.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. - 3B, TOR vs. OAK ($3,200)

I literally have no stock in Guerrero for season-long formats but it was pretty surprising to see him priced at just $3,200. His minor league numbers are simply ridiculous, with Guererro posting a .945 OPS in his minor league career. He was even better against southpaws, posting a 1.375 OPS. That's all you can ask for and Guererro will inevitably be a $4,000 player before you know it.

Gleyber Torres - SS, NYY at SF ($3,400)

Torres hasn't been great this season but his .205 career ISO is hard to overlook in a matchup like this. Not only is Derek Holland a league-average pitcher, Torres gets the platoon advantage from the right side. This is a guy who owns a .542 SLG and .869 OPS against southpaws throughout his career and Derek Holland is no one worth fearing. Getting to bat in the heart of the order should only help, as he and Voit make for a nice two-man stack.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Joey Gallo - OF, TEX at SEA ($4,200)

Anytime Gallo faces a pitcher with a weak strikeout rate, he should be considered. That's just the case here, with Leake posting a 16 percent K-rate for his career. That's simply not acceptable in today's MLB and it makes Gallo tough to fade considering his only weakness is with strikeouts. The lefty's power is simply unmatched too, as his .301 career ISO is one of the best in the league. Not to mention, Gallo has an .848 career OPS against right-handers while being one of the league leaders this year with a .479 xwOBA.

Nelson Cruz - OF, MIN vs. BAL ($3,700)

Cruz has four homers over his last six games and it's clear that he's finally overcoming some bad luck. In fact, Cruz is one of the league leaders with an xwOBA approaching .500. That means he's just destroying the baseball right now and that looks extremely promising in this tasty matchup. Not only does Dan Straily sit with an 8.59 ERA and 1.84 WHIP, he's also posting an ugly .464 wOBA.
