We have a very small five-game slate tonight, so the options are limited across the board. There isn't a super high priced pitcher on this slate, so you should have an easier time fitting in most of the bats you want in your lineups.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/12/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Jose Berrios - P, MIN vs CWS (FD - $9,000)
We are looking at a slate which only has five games on it, and Berrios is looking to be one, if not the best pitchers on the slate. He comes in with a 22% strikeout rate this season, along with a 27% hard contact rate. So far this season, he has put up one really strong start, and one bad start, so hopefully we find a nice middle ground between those two. Berrios has put up 13 strikeouts in those two starts and is now up against a White Sox team who as a 20% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers. That isn't the highest in the league or the lowest but should be good for about six strikeouts today.
Bryan Mitchell - P, SDP vs SFG (FD - $5,800)
Is Mitchell a good pitching option tonight? That's a tough question, but he presents a few things that can be beneficial, so let's take a look. First off is obvious, he is very cheap, and can allow you to load up on bats tonight. He has a groundball rate sitting at 54%, which is best on the slate, along with a 26% hard contact rate, which is also best on the slate. This issue with him is that he only has one strikeout through 10 innings this year. Very little upside from him, but with this great pitchers park, and the GB%, he can limit the damage, and again, he is super cheap.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Pedro Severino - C, WAS vs COL (FD - $2,500)
Severino is really cheap and gets you a bit of exposure to the Nationals offense, which is always a good thing. He has a five-game hitting streak going right now, with two extra-base hits, and two RBIs in that span. A decent matchup for him, as he has a career .326 wOBA against right-handed pitchers, which is good but not great, but hey, he is $2.5K.
Lucas Duda - 1B, KAN vs LAA (FD - $2,900)
Duda is still too cheap and if he is going up against a right-handed pitcher, he will be in a great spot. As of right now, there is no set starter for the Angels since they are dealing with some injuries. Ideally, the starter would be a right-handed pitcher, which is who Duda excels against. Last year he had a .360 wOBA and a .298 ISO vs RHP, and with this game set to have winds at almost 20 MPH, we could see some long home runs tonight.
Carlos Asuaje - 2B, SDP vs SFG (FD - $2,400)
Asuaje is super cheap tonight and makes a solid cash game play if you are looking to spend down at second base. He has been hitting in the middle of the lineup for the Padres, which is great for a hitter at his price, so the upside could be there for him tonight. Last season he had a .322 wOBA vs right-handed pitchers and is now up against Stratton, who gave up a .355 wOBA to left-handed hitters last season. Not the best hitters park for him, but as a salary saver, he doesn't have to do a whole lot to be worth the roster spot.
Luis Valbuena - 3B, LAA @ KAN (FD - $2,900)
Valbuena wasn't in the lineup yesterday for the Angels, so he should be set to rejoin the starters today. Last season he had a 104 wRC+ vs right-handed pitchers, along with a .249 ISO, which should put him in a good spot to produce tonight. This isn't the best hitter's park, but with all of this wind we should be seeing, it could provide a nice boost for him. He is also cheap and gets you some nice exposure to a powerful Los Angeles offense.
Eduardo Escobar - SS, MIN vs CWS (FD - $3,200)
Last season Escobar had a .324 wOBA and a .216 ISO vs right-handed pitchers and is more of a GPP option on tonight's slate. He may not have massive upside in most games, but he has been productive in his games this season. He has seven RBIs in eight games, along with five doubles over that same span.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Bryce Harper - OF, WAS vs COL (FD - $5,400)
Harper is looking like the guy you want in all of your cash games tonight because of the matchup. He is up against Chad Bettis, who gave up a .333 wOBA to left-handed hitters, along with 1.57 HR/9. Harper had .442 wOBA and a .332 ISO last season vs right-handed pitchers, which are simply just massive numbers. Harper looks to have a high floor, with plenty of upside if used in a stack.
Brett Gardner - OF, NYY @ BOS (FD - $3,100)
Gardner is up against Rick Porcello, who is giving up a 37% hard contact rate this season, which is second worst on the slate. This is a great hitters park, and I can just see Porcello leaving one hanging in the zone, and Gardner doing that classic slap hit and taking it deep down the right-field line. Last season he had a 124 wRC+ and a .191 ISO vs right-handed pitchers, which should only further show he has some nice power for a cheaper price.
