Denver Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant (ankle) is expected to play Sunday's Week 9 matchup against the Carolina Panthers after practicing in full Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, according to Zac Stevens. Although Bryant remains officially questionable, head coach Sean Payton indicated Friday that the second-year receiver has practiced well enough to be activated from injured reserve. Bryant has missed four consecutive games since suffering his ankle injury against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4. He caught nine of 12 targets for 133 yards and a touchdown across his first four appearances, playing 70% of Denver's offensive snaps in Week 3. His return could affect Troy Franklin's workload after Franklin played 44 offensive snaps in Week 8. San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (hamstring) has officially been ruled out for the Week 9 contest this Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner. In addition to Samuel, the 49ers will also be without veteran wideouts Mike Evans (Achilles, ribs) and Christian Kirk (knee), so the team will ask Jordan Watkins, Brandin Cooks, and Jacob Cowing to step up as pass-catchers for quarterback Brock Purdy. The 30-year-old Samuel did not practice all week and has not played since injuring his hamstring in the Week 5 win over the division-rival Seattle Seahawks. He is going to need to get back on the practice field next week to have a shot at making his return next Sunday in Dallas against the Cowboys. By the time Samuel makes it back for the 49ers, the team could have more WR reinforcements available, potentially making the veteran wideout's path to regular touches more difficult. Through his first five games in his return to the Bay Area this year, Samuel has caught 16 of his 20 targets for 206 yards and three touchdowns, adding nine carries for 78 yards on the ground. San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans (Achilles, ribs) has officially been ruled out for the Week 9 contest this Sunday against the visiting Las Vegas Raiders, according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN. The 49ers will also be without Deebo Samuel Sr. (hamstring) and Christian Kirk (knee), so Jordan Watkins, Brandin Cooks, and Jacob Cowing will serve as quarterback Brock Purdy's top three wideouts coming out of the bye. The 33-year-old Evans will miss a second straight game due to a right Achilles injury that he aggravated in the Week 6 win over the Washington Commanders, and he also continues to battle through several broken ribs. Barring a setback next week, though, hopefully fantasy managers will get the future Hall of Famer back next Sunday, Nov. 15, for a clash on the road against the Dallas Cowboys. Evans will have to get back on the practice field next week after missing all of this week. Staying healthy has been a problem for the six-time Pro Bowler in his 13th NFL season, but he has been productive when on the field, posting a 27-420-3 line on 39 targets in his first six games with the Niners.--Keith Hernandez

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Rashid Shaheed (knee) will miss his second consecutive game after being ruled out for Sunday's Week 9 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, according to Gregg Bell. The 28-year-old did not practice Thursday or Friday after being listed as a nonparticipant on Wednesday's estimated injury report. Shaheed has been sidelined since injuring his knee during Seattle's Week 7 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs and has recorded 16 receptions for 163 yards in seven appearances this season. His absence should keep Tory Horton in an expanded role alongside Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp. Horton played a season-high 68% of Seattle's offensive snaps against the Chicago Bears in Week 8, catching three of six targets for 26 yards. Los Angeles Rams tight end Terrance Ferguson (ankle) has now been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders in Week 9, according to Nate Atkins of The Athletic. Ferguson was originally expected to return from Injured Reserve this weekend against the Commanders, but the Rams have reversed course and will give the second-year tight end another week to heal. He has not played since injuring his ankle in the Week 3 loss to the Denver Broncos, but barring a setback in practice next week, the 23-year-old should be good to go in Week 10 on the road in a strong matchup against the division-rival Arizona Cardinals. Even though Ferguson is not returning this weekend, fantasy managers looking for pass-catching upside at the position should strongly consider adding Ferguson now. San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa (knee) does not have an injury designation on Friday and is good to go to make his return on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner. Bosa returned to practice this week for the first time since suffering a knee injury back in Week 2, and the 29-year-old All-Pro pass-rusher will return this weekend to give San Francisco's pass rush a big boost against veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins and the Raiders. The oft-injured Bosa will not try to stay healthy for the rest of the season after recording seven tackles (three solo) across 76 defensive snaps in his first two games of the 2026 campaign. The former first-rounder from Ohio State is a five-time Pro Bowler and can be a difference-maker on the defensive side of the ball when he is fully healthy, but he has managed to play in only five games since the start of the 2025 season due to injuries. San Francisco's bye in Week 8 came at the right time, allowing McCaffrey to suit up. As long as he does not have any workload restrictions on Sunday at Levi's Stadium, CMC will be a no-brainer must-start RB1 for fantasy football managers. Green Bay Packers kicker Trey Smack continues to struggle with accuracy heading into Sunday's Week 9 matchup against New England. Smack missed one of four extra-point attempts against Carolina last week and did not attempt a field goal, finishing with just three kicking points. He missed two field goals against Detroit in Week 7, including attempts from 26 and 35 yards. The rookie has converted 11 of 16 field goals and 16 of 19 extra points through eight games. Smack has shown plenty of leg strength, connecting from 58 and 59 yards this season, but his recent inconsistency remains a concern. He has made more than one field goal in just one of his last six games, limiting his fantasy appeal despite Green Bay's offensive potential. Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton hasn't given fantasy managers much to cheer about lately. Otton has been held without a catch over the last two weeks. The Bucs have been focusing on running the ball, so the receivers have suffered in a major way lately. Over the last four games, Otton has recorded four receptions for 29 yards and zero touchdowns. He'll draw a matchup against the Chicago Bears defense in Week 9. A unit that ranks middle of the road when it comes to defending opposing tight ends. The Bucs have been having a ton of success on the ground, so they'll likely stick with that. Otton isn't a recommended streaming option until he proves that he can consistently put up decent numbers.--Andy Webb

The Philadelphia Eagles continue to deal with injuries to key players in the wide receiver room, which opens the door for a more significant role for Hollywood Brown once again. The Eagles are preparing for a Week 9 matchup against the New York Giants, and it will be the third consecutive game in which Philadelphia will be without starters DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle), This should lead to some targets for Brown against the Giants, although he has not been productive thus far. In a Week 8 loss to the Washington Commanders, Brown played 32 offensive snaps, but only received two targets in the passing game. He caught both of those targets for 17 yards (8.5 yards per reception). In a Week 7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, Brown played 36 offensive snaps, and drew five targets, while recording two receptions for 30 yards (15 yards per catch). Brown has worked ahead of wide receiver Elijah Moore over each of the past two games, playing a combined 68 offensive snaps, compared to 40 for Moore. Rookie wideout Makai Lemon has led the Eagles with Smith and Wicks out, while Brown, Moore, Darius Cooper and tight end Dallas Goedert are among the other options in the passing game. Notably, Joe Milton III takes over at quarterback for the Eagles in Week 9. The Giants allow 184.9 passing yards per game, ranking third in the NFL. Pro Football Reference shows the Giants allow 20.6 fantasy points per game to wide receivers (17th in the NFL). Hurst once again was blanked with zero catches on one target in the win over the Atlanta Falcons. It's not all his fault; it's tough to do anything when the Bucs only attempted three passes all game long. The rookie wideout has been held without a catch in three of the last four games. He does draw a favorable matchup against the Chicago Bears defense in Week 9. A defensive unit that ranks 19th in passing yards allowed this season. Despite that, Hurst hasn't done anything to warrant trusting him. He could fall further down the depth chart with Emeka Egbuka (foot) possibly returning this weekend. Hurst is worth a stash in deep leagues, but he shouldn't be started this weekend.--Andy Webb

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (ribs) could face a challenging matchup against New England cornerback Christian Gonzalez on Sunday. The Patriots have allowed the 10th-most PPR fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season, although Gonzalez has been particularly difficult to beat in coverage. Watson has drawn at least eight targets in seven of eight games, remaining a key downfield weapon for Jordan Love. He suffered a broken rib against Carolina last week but returned to finish the game.
