On Saturday afternoon, the NASCAR Cup Series held the qualifying session for this weekend's race at the San Diego Naval Base Coronado, the Anduril 250.
The 38-car field was split into two groups and each one of them got 20 minutes to lay down their fastest qualifying lap during the session.
Up top, it shouldn't surprise anyone that Shane van Gisbergen was the fastest, but we did have some surprises, as both Front Row Motorsports drivers (Zane Smith and Todd Gilliland) qualified top five, and Carson Hocevar had a career-best qualifying effort on a road course.
