When is Bryce Eldridge getting called up? Will Bryce Eldridge start in April of this MLB season? Read about Bryce Eldridge's debut date and fantasy baseball prospect updates for 2026.
San Francisco Giants top prospect Bryce Eldridge made his MLB debut late in the 2025 campaign but was unable to crack the Opening Day roster in 2026, following an underwhelming showing in spring training.
Even though his short-term stock has taken a bit of a hit, Eldridge remains a high-end prospect that could make a major impact over his second stint in the big leagues.
Should managers look to stash Eldridge ahead of Week 3 of the fantasy baseball season?

Bryce Eldridge Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
In spring training, Eldridge posted a disappointing .225/.380/.450 line with only one home run and a modest 19:9 K:BB over a 19-game stint. While he had been slated to compete for a role as a DH and first baseman, the Giants opted to send their first-round format pick back to Triple-A to continue his development.
With Triple-A, Eldridge has quickly found his footing and enjoys a hot start to the campaign. Through his first 11 games with the Sacramento River Cats, the James Madison HS product has posted a dominant .311/.466/.467 line with a .983 OPS. He has gone deep once and added four doubles.
Given that he quickly found his swing, Eldridge should be in the mix for an early return to the majors this season.

Bryce Eldridge Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
In 2025, Eldridge began the season with Double-A but needed only 34 games before reaching the top level of the minor leagues. During his first stint with Triple-A Sacramento, Eldridge held a .modest .249/.322/.514 line with 18 home runs but struck out at a hefty 88 times. In his first taste of the majors, Eldridge would tally just three hits (two doubles) with a 35.1% K%.
Even though his strikeout rate has remained an issue for Eldridge, his raw power is one of the best in the minor leagues. Currently, the Giants have relied on Casey Schmitt to cover first base while Rafael Devers has been the DH. While Devers figures to return to first base at times, Schmitt has started seven games there and posted a low .739 OPS.
If Eldridge can continue this current pace at Triple-A, he should be in the mix to spark this San Francisco offense and see consistent at-bats at DH and first base. He is a top stash candidate in all formats ahead of Week 3.
